Gluten Free: Celiac Food Label
Ingredient & Barcode Scanner
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
New: reads French, German, Spanish and Italian labels correctly, highlights the gluten words and explains them. One free scan every day.
Check a food label for gluten in seconds. Scan the barcode and Gluten Free reads the ingredient list for you: wheat, barley, rye, malt, spelt and their hidden forms, even when the label is in another language.
Made for people with celiac disease, gluten sensitivity or a wheat allergy, and for anyone cooking for them.
HOW IT WORKS
• Scan a barcode. Gluten Free looks up the product and checks every ingredient and the allergen information.
• See a clear result: No gluten found, May contain gluten, Contains gluten, or Check the label when no ingredient list is available.
• The gluten words are highlighted right in the ingredient list, with what they mean ("Blé — Wheat", "Gerste — Barley").
• Reads labels in more than 30 languages, so imported products and holiday shopping are covered too.
KEEP TRACK
• My Scans keeps every product you have checked, with Saved, Safe and Avoid filters and search.
• Save products to your own safe list or avoid list.
LEARN
• Hidden sources of gluten (soy sauce, malt extract, some sauces and dressings).
• Grains and flours that are naturally gluten-free.
FREE AND PREMIUM
• Free: one barcode scan per day, your scan history and the Learn section.
• Premium: unlimited scans, label photo scanning for products without a barcode, and unlimited saved products.
The app is available in more than 100 languages. Product data comes from Open Food Facts (openfoodfacts.org), a free, open and collaborative database.
IMPORTANT
Gluten Free helps you read labels; it is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. Recipes change and databases can be incomplete, so always check the package label yourself, and talk to your doctor or dietitian about your diet.
SUBSCRIPTIONS

The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings at any time.
