You can set your gps position or the current map centre as the PortWatch location and the radar alert range from 0.5nm to 10nm.

Pro and Fleet upgrade" subscriptions are yearly and will automatically renew at the end of the subscription period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase, and will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. Subscriptions may be managed by the iTunes account holder and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to Account Settings after purchase. No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during active subscription period

Boat Watch should only be used for basic navigation reference and should not be solely relied upon to determine precise locations, proximity, distance, or direction.
I’ve been using Boat Watch for years for my job and I especially the the NOAA chart overlay option.When I got a new phone I had some issues getting the chart overlay option lay working.I reached out to tech support and they solved the issue very quickly. Thank you.I highly recommend this app.

I used to see boats. I upgraded and they all went away. Frustrating as I can see them on the water but they don’t show on the app anymore

I paid for the upgrade before my cruise in order to track other ships. The upgrade was no better than the basic service which was dismal at best. Very disappointed in the accuracy of this app. Spending the money for the upgrade was a waste of money. The updates were so far behind and inaccurate that is was useless. Very frustrating to deal with. Don’t waste your time or money downloading.

Although being able to see where ships are, it’s sad that you pay for the “one time upgrade” and then find that everything else within the app costs an additional charge. So they mislead you to believe that once you’ve upgraded, you won’t be charged again……. False. False false. Don’t waste your money on this.

The one time upgrade refers to the upgrade to the Pro version to get more ship details including last port, photos, destination, eta etc. which is a one time purchase as opposed to a subscription. This also includes the features on the free companion Apple Watch BoatWatch app. There are additional features available via In App Purchase such as NOAA US and UK/IE charts which cost us more to provide and we charge for these separately as not everyone will want them.
