I’m obsessed! I’ve even thrown my money at the developers. Keys regenerate for free and diamonds can be earned for free, but it’s just not fast enough for me. I had to buy some, and I’m not upset about that, because this game is so gorgeous to look at and so enthralling to read! It’s worth it. So why didn’t I give them five stars? Well, there’s always room for improvement. It’s mostly small things. In four chapters I’ve come across probably about 10 typos, but none of them make the story confusing. Just minor proofreading misses. Also, all of the LI’s can be toggled on or off for whether you want to romance them. I’ve got 4 out of 6 of them toggled off and that mostly does away with any unwanted romantic dialogue and storylines with those particular LI’s…except for one. For some reason, even though I’ve got Iridessa toggled OFF as an LI, there are constantly lines like “she was the most beautiful woman you’d ever seen” or “your eyes glanced down at her lips.” These aren’t actually direct quotes, but they’re examples of the kind of things I keep encountering when I’m in a scene with her. But it’s a minor inconvenience. I just found it odd that it was only with her. I also sometimes have trouble changing my clothes. The closet can be a tad glitchy, but if it doesn’t work at first, usually leaving that area and coming back fixes it. Otherwise, this story is amazing, the artwork is amazing, and the gameplay is so interesting! The side stories with Allies to up their relationship for future chapters are an interesting use of the collected diamonds! I’m hooked!

I love what I’ve seen so far! Great storytelling and I love that you can toggle romances on or off so I don’t have to worry that I’ve missed an important option or that some hug is going to start a romance I’m locked into. Lots of choices and chances to explore different things and the story is compelling and the graphics are beautiful. Would definitely recommend!On the constructive criticism side: The timing is a little frustrating- you have to wait 2 hours for a key to play what might be a less than 5 minute scene, but from what I’ve seen playing similar games, that seems to be more or less what they all do, and this one isn’t substantially worse than any of the others on that front. I also wish you didn’t have to wait six hours to watch another ad for a single key. Even if they were limited to a certain number a day, it would be nice to be able to get more than one while I’m sitting down and playing so I can actually progress at some key places. I also wish you could change outfits in-scenes and go back to the main menu in-scene, but those are just little knit-picky things. I would love to have some sort of paid option that would give you faster key refresh or something (or let you unlock the entire chapter with a single key rather than unlocking every scene) so I could read the story more fluidly without doing a bunch of micro-transactions.In summary: If you’re thinking of giving the game a try, I would definitely recommend it! It is quickly becoming a game I know will be a favorite!

I am editing my review to correspond with the many updates that have been implemented as of late February.I am so pleased with the changes that the team has quickly made based on the feedback they’ve gotten since the game was first released. I have been very impressed with the save slots, CYOR, ability to restart scenes, and seeing previous purchases saved! I can’t express how much these updates have made the game more enticing to replay and store purchases more tempting despite its high prices.Unfortunately, I do still have some criticism regarding the scene system as a whole and the slow accumulation of diamonds/keys/coins. I do hope that chapter releases are considered rather than short scenes. And that we have more ways (or higher amounts) of stockpiling the aforementioned items to experience the game to the best extent possible, without having to make too many store purchases.I will say I personally enjoyed the unlimited keys option (from VIP subscription) that was applied in Choices. I look forward to more updates in the coming future!

Updated Review: I initially gave the game 1 stars because I found the resource system and mechanics were a major problem of the game. I am bumping it up to 3 stars as they have listened to feedback and allowing ad options along with the new update on login rewards as well as save slots. Now, again I heavily praise the inclusion of having male MC choice, the story and its potential and am enjoying the characters so far (especially Talyn and Niel). However, the ally system and especially story progression/ scene release is holding the game back for me a bit. While, I like the Ally system (and bonus scenes in main story) I am mixed of needing many companions that you don’t really want to be a high level to get content that should be part of the main story like in one of the latest chapter 8 scenes with Cato in which the scene is very shortened if you didn’t get a high level with him, like why couldn’t we investigate alone and find out something since it seemed to be important to understanding what’s happening with Yvain? Did I really need Cato for this (I chose to do it alone since it is expensive to level all allies and me not really wanting to bond with Cato and ended up missing a seemingly important plot point). Now, the bigger issue is the scene length in general it is still too short and I know I have a bit of patience but others may find it too slow as it disrupts the flow of the story as well as getting frustrated with only getting crumbs which I understand. Overall, the game still has a bit of work to do but I still see the potential and can’t wait to see what’s next!
