Our Community… The Back story to Ball Guys Stumble & Fall
Ball Guys was launched as a 3-week old prototype in October 2024. Inspired by our incredible Discord Community, the team at Half Moon Studios have done over 30 updates to “find the fun”. People told us to add Skins, so we did. People demanded a level editor, so we gave it to them. And when we removed one of our accidents (the infamous Double Jump), people complained. Hey, I downloaded this game about a month ago, and I really loved it. I made it to level 337 before the update, and I decided to restart my progress as suggested. What I loved most about this game was the accessibility and availability of the game, and being able to work at a level that you might not be able to get the first couple times while trying different things. However, the stamina system that you have implemented in the update has taken away that liberty. You need to be nearly perfect in every level if you want to play continuously without losing stamina at a quick rate. Also, I don’t really see a use for this new stamina system other than to hold players back from faster progression? If there is an important reason for this new addition, then please let me know. I still think that everything else in this update is great, and I love that you guys care for your game like this and I hope I could get some information back.

I love this game I’ve been playing it for a few months and it’s my favorite game but I feel like there’s no way to play endlessly in any mode except for battle mode which is pretty repetitive I understand why the merge mini game and the cannon minigame are like that but I feel like in adventure mode you should either remove the stamina system, increase the stamina to around 60, or have your stamina refill back to 20 or 30 after completing a level other than that I have no complaints at all it’s an amazing game and for this to be my only complaint says a lot keep at it guys!. I 100% RECOMMEND YOU DOWNLOAD
One fun mode.

The merge game mode is fun, you’ll see a lot of people on TikTok live playing for hours at a time. What’s frustrating is even with watching ads you can only play the merge game mode a few times before you have to wait a day or pay $7+. Really disappointed in the devs for sponsoring creators to livestream merge with provided tickets but real players have to pay ~0.50$ per ticket. The rest of the game is pretty bad. The adventure mode just feels like someone sat down and made levels with no thought behind them. It tries to teach you mechanics and techniques at first which was exciting. Unfortunately after the first levels just seeing the level becomes the hardest part. Limiting the camera to force you to play the level multiple times and waste energy (you only have 20 energy total btw) is not fun. The battle mode is fun at first but there’s only 5 maps so it gets boring fast and the rewards are abysmal. Idk maybe I’m crazy but the whole game feels like it’s rage baiting me to spend money to play the merge game but 0.50$ a ticket is absolutely insane for how unoriginal and uninspired the mode is.

This game is very fun and I love that the developers interact with their community. For example they are on Tik tok lives playing different levels with viewers taking suggestions from them on how to make the game better. I was once in a live where “uncle Bob” had a thought to show the player count in the game so people could tell if they were able to join or not and the next update that’s what they added.
