Out of sight, out of mind, so out with it!

I tend to go with the out of sight out of mind approach when it comes to files on my computer. If I haven’t touched it or thought about it for long enough that I’ve forgotten it’s there, chances are it’s not important enough to keep, and those are exactly the files that Disck Diag digs out of the netherworld. Mind you, it’s best to double check exactly what the app has signed up for the chopping block, but for the most part, the biggest things weighing down my Macbook Pro mid-2012 were useless email files and caches. Before using Disk Diag, I had a measly 28 G left of my 750 G hard drive. One click and maybe 5 minutes of waiting later, 4 years worth of useless junk was wiped away, and my free storage jumped up to around 260 G. A simple and efficient way to do a little (or a lot) of spring cleaning. Very happy that I bought this app.

Don’t get me wrong, I love this application. It is super useful and I can really tell a difference after cleaning up space on my hard drive. I wish I could give this a 5-Star review, but there is only one problem with this. Every time I clean my hard drive, it deletes the iCloud Drive caches on my computer, therefore not allowing me to sync my documents to iCloud until I turn off iCloud Drive and restart my computer. I know one solution would be to just turn off deleting caches on my computer, but that is where most of my hard drive space is wasted. If there was any way to select specific files I wanted to delete, or make a way to not delete important application caches, I would absolutely change my review. Other than that, it works perfectly!

Disk Diag has been on my Mac for years after I made the initial $10 purchase on the App Store. It did its job and was simplistic to navigate, never had a complaint. Fast forward to today, I go to clear my cache as usual. To my surprise, I was greeted with an entirely different application that now feels that it needs to provide me with a cluttered view of my CPU and memory readings, alongside other items. Even more to my delight was the giant pop-up that demanded a subscription or one-time purchase of $40 to unlock FULL CLEANING, lest I only be able to clean 1 single gigabyte of data per month. What a generous number! Gone was my initial $10 purchase, I wasn't able to restore anything due to an "error". I'd love to hear the devs' side of the matter and at least resolve the paywall issue. I truly valued Disk Diag, but this is simply ridiculous.

- We offer a FREE solution for anyone to continue using the old version already purchased. Please click "Already made a purchase?" link at the bottom of the sheet after pressing "Unlimited Cleaning". You will be forwarded to our support page, where you'll find further details.- In the new version you can customize OneClick scanner to autoselect your caches (it is actually the default setting), so it will literally be 3 clicks to remove caches. It was a main design principle for us to keep the "workflow" the same as you mentioned. Based on your feedback we will add an option to preferences to start the app with the scanner you've used (in your case it can be OneClick) so the "3 clicks workflow" can be reduced to 2 clicks.- We are working hard to improve our app with new features and do our best to provide a good user experience. We had to introduce the new pricing model to ensure the sustainable development.- Based on the above information, we'd appreciate if you could consider changing your review, thanks!
