more The race guide, front and centre.
On any race with a RunCalendar guide, the guide now sits right under the race's name: the guide's own photograph and one tap to read it. Course, climbs, weather, what runners wear, and where you'll feel it.
Plus small fixes.
8.3.9 Oct 22
Reminders now stay quiet for a race that’s been called off.
8.3.8 Oct 13
Race guides now tell you about every distance, not just the marathon.
• The distances — each guide has a card per race, biggest field first: who runs it, typical finish times, the start, the cut-off, and whether entry is open right now.
• Next year's entry dates — when this year's window has closed, Key dates shows when next year's opens, and your reminders follow it.
• Time to build your plan — when your goal race is 8 to 20 weeks out and you have no plan yet, RunCalendar nudges you once, on your Season and as a reminder.
Also in this version: new guides for the Mumbai and Delhi half marathons, and the guide list refreshes itself when you come back to the app.
8.3.7 Sep 25
Your first open lands in one go — the featured race, the collection tiles and the calendar now arrive together. Satellite pictures that failed to load now retry. More collection bands through the feed before any repeat.
8.3.6 Sep 22
More collections to browse and search field upgrades to be more intuitive
8.3.5 Sep 21
A fresh first screen: photo collections up top, the featured race in full colour, and a calmer tab bar.
8.3.4 Sep 19
Missed a run and did it the next day? Move it, or tick it and today's run comes with it. Edit your numbers after. Your Apple Health setting now survives a reinstall.
8.3.3 Sep 13
Your races, seen from above: every race in My races and on your Interested list now shows its satellite view, and the ones with a guide carry the guide's photo.
Saved a race you never ran? It no longer haunts your record — "Didn't run it" takes it out, after a quick check.
My record puts the pace calculator right under your personal bests, where the times it starts from live.
If you've saved a race and your reminders are off, Key dates now says so, one tap from fixing it — so you hear the morning registration opens.
Your record wears the day you had: every result now carries your photo, or the race seen from above when you didn't take one.
Adding a past race? Start typing its name and pick it from the calendar, so your result knows which race it was.
8.3.2 Sep 11
What's opening this week, right under the featured race: the first three races in your country that just opened for entry or open in the next few days, and "See all" for the whole week's list, with the day each opened and a save button beside it.
Collections wear their pictures: every race in a collection now shows its satellite view, and the ones with a guide carry the guide's photo.
The feed's collection bands follow the season where you are — beaches in the cold months, trails in the warm ones — and take turns leading each day.
Some collections are now home to one country, so an American fall classic stays in America.
Your plan is a journey now: the road to your race, kilometres banked, milestones passed, and how many runners are training for the same race beside you. The week's numbers are yours, in your own words. And on Sunday evenings, a new sticker: your week, done.
Adjust your plan without starting over: move a session, change your run days, take a week off, or ease off and push on. Same plan, same week numbers, everything you've run stays put.
New guides: Mont Blanc Marathon, the Midnight Sun Marathon in Tromsø, and the Melbourne Marathon. New collections: Run Europe, Chasing a PB, and Summer down under for runners in Australia and New Zealand.
8.3.1 Sep 10
Share your season. Your race, on your photo, wherever you post it.
Runners share their running on their own photos. Now you can share your races the same way — a small RunCalendar sticker, laid over any photo you choose, sent to any app or saved to Photos.
• Tell your friends you're in — the race seen from above, the date, and the days to go, the moment you save it.
• Share your training — your goal race and its countdown, with the run you just did.
• Share your result — the finish time, PB, pace and placing, from any race in your record.
• Share your season — the peak and the road there, in one sticker.
Light or dark type is picked for your photo, and you can flip it.
A feed that changes with the calendar
Between the races you'll now find what's opening for entry this week, a countdown to your own goal race, and collections to dream over — beach sunsets, trail escapes, the majors — each with its own picture and a way straight in.
Also in this version: a truer Racing abroad card, privacy-forward wording on the account, Health and unlock screens, and fixes to race pictures and the feed.
8.3.0 Sep 9
Every race on earth, seen from above.
Find a race is rebuilt around the images. Every race now shows the place in satellite, from above, with the name, date and distances beneath. Add it to your season straight from the card.
• The featured race is now one from your own country, and it says why it is featured: registration opens, closes, or sold out.
• "This weekend" marks where the coming weekend starts in your calendar.
• Collections are one tap away, each with an image.
• Search puts the race you named first — type "London" and the London Marathon leads.
• Getting started is one screen: choose your country.
Race pages, rebuilt
Every race page opens on a bigger view of the course's home, the course itself: a written description for the great races, each distance facts, and key dates. Add to season sits stays one tap away while you scroll.
Your plan and your record
• A clearer tab bar — Find, Races, Plan, Record, Profile — with bolder icons, and the tab you are on stays filled.
• Notes on every training session: write how it felt and read it back in your training history. Free for everyone.
• If Apple Health has a walk on a training day, we offer it as the session choice.
Plus smoother scrolling and fixes.
8.2.0 Sep 5
Your training plan now keeps its place.
Rebuild or swap your plan mid-journey and it carries on from the week you're actually in — no more starting over at week 1. The weeks you've already run appear right on your plan's chart, and everything you've completed stays yours. Always.
Also in this update:
• Races you're watching as Interested no longer get race-day reminders meant for runners — registration alerts still arrive on time.
• Marking a training session done now opens your results in full.
• Small wording tidy-ups in Profile and Reminders.
8.1.2 Aug 31
What's New in 8.1.1
Better finding, smoother reading:
• Search now understands regions — type a province or state like Gauteng, Otago or California and every race there appears.
• Fixed a search bug where typing an apostrophe could hide races we carry (SPAR Women's Challenge, we found you).
• Fixed race pages occasionally drifting sideways on some devices.
8.1.1 Aug 27
Race news, delivered.
The races in your season can now send you the news that matters — entries opening, dates confirmed, race-week updates — as rich notifications with photos.
• Add a race to your season and its news comes with it. Tap any notification and you land straight on the race.
• You're in control: switch any of it off in Profile ▸ Reminders.
• New and optional: occasional RunCalendar highlights for runners in your country — off unless you turn it on.
Plus reliability improvements under the hood.
8.1.0 Aug 24
Small polish release: a steadier course selector on event pages, a clearer "Save to interested" button on race guides, and collection artwork that loads more reliably.
8.0.3 Aug 22
Race guides are easier to find: every race with a guide now shows a clear "Read the race guide" button on its page, and the new Race Guides collection puts all of them in one place. Plus small polish — races advertised in miles now read in miles on their guide, and course profile tags display for every course type.
8.0.2 Aug 21
Reminders now update instantly when you change your season, your training history records the day you actually ran, and runs on unscheduled days can count toward a nearby session
8.0.1 Aug 19
RunCalendar has been rebuilt from the ground up.
Every screen is new. The calendar now shows every race we know about —browse a full year ahead, search worldwide, and see each race's location in real satellite imagery.
NEW — Your Season: pick the race you're building toward, add the ones on the way, and watch it come together in one place.
NEW — Training plans: built around your goal race, your days, and how you actually run. Your first weeks are free.
NEW — Race Log: your results, PBs and one photo per race — a trophy cabinet that grows with every finish line.
Plus editorial race guides, curated collections, honest dates (if we don't know the exact day yet, we say so), and reminders for the races you care about.
Thanks for running with us — this is just the start.
