Tried booking via app but could only use local phone number. Should have a text option, also cannot book a larger cab over the phone line which is a silly restriction.

Never trust Meru if you are gong to Hyderabad Airport from this app. They will say they will call 20 mins before travel time to confirm and they will cancel with unavailability of drivers. So they don’t schedule before hand.

Let me explain how this app really works ….. 1) You request a cab, and put in the specific details of where you are and where you want to go.2a) [80% of time] 30 minutes before the cab is supposed to show up, the call center rings to say there is no taxi available. 2b) [20% of time] The app does NOT pass the information from the app on to the taxi driver, so he will call to ask where you are. For a non-Hindi speaker, that means I need to go find someone to explain where we are in Hindi.The idea of this app is great, especially for foreigners. But the company is not good. They should not accept orders for cabs if there are none available. I suggest paying more and using the Ola Cabs app if you want to ensure the taxi comes.
