This app used to be great. But now it has a significant amount of ads to the point it takes about 45 seconds to one minute to be able to access any camera. That is not good in an emergency setting. I subscribed while we were on vacation thinking that I would unsubscribe when I get home. WARNING: THIS COMPANY WILL NOT LET YOU UNSUBSCRIBE. When you try to unsubscribe in the app, it takes you to an AI powered Chatbot that allows you to ask questions, but you are only able to email customer service. When I email customer service, they come back with an offer, but no way to unsubscribe. After constant messages to them, begging them to unsubscribe me, I still have not been successful in cancelling my service. It’s been two months and I have been charged twice now. Luckily, I have reported this to my bank as a scam and got reimbursed. I will also have to delete my account (and will throw in my cameras), which I am honestly not sad about because I hate this company that much for eating up so much of my time. DO NOT USE THESE CAMERAS!!

Had an issue with the plans so I decided to cancel them. They kept offering alternatives although I told them to stop charging me completely. Went to the customer support option in the app and tried replying but somehow my responses weren’t showing up when I pressed enter after typing. 1st issue from last Nov/Dec- 2 plans were purchased by accident since on my end, it was just buffering and it didn’t show any kind of sign that a plan was purchased. I didn’t know until later on so I had to bring it up to them and apple. I got my money back but I just wanted to keep one. I ended up cancelling both of them later on since another issue occurred where they tried charging me for something else and it was becoming frustrating so I decided to just cancel completely.2nd issue- I noticed after Dec both the plans were off the app completely so I thought they were done charging completely but no I was wrong. I got a notification earlier today that they tried charging me even though it CLEARLY SAIDS BOTH PLANS ARE NOT ACTIVE. Do not trust this app and company. Thankfully Apple is denying each time they trying to take from my account. If you try contacting customer service, your responses won’t go through. Also, if you try emailing them, the email only saids it’s too full and can’t accept messages. I repeat, DO NOT TRUST THIS APP OR COMPANY. They will continue to charge your card even after you cancel the plans. I would give no star if I had a choice.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience using YI Home Cameras. While the hardware itself may appear affordable at first, the software experience significantly undermines its value.The application is overloaded with advertisements and constant subscription prompts, which interfere with normal use. More concerning is the fact that access to recorded footage feels intentionally restricted unless you subscribe to their premium service. Attempting to review important video clips becomes frustrating due to pop-ups, delays, and feature limitations that are not clearly disclosed at the time of purchase.Customers should be clearly informed upfront that without a paid subscription, the functionality will be severely limited. Instead, the app creates a user experience that feels designed to pressure customers into upgrading. It gives the impression that essential features are being withheld to force additional payments after the initial purchase.Transparency is critical when selling security products. Buyers should know before purchasing that they may not have full access to their own video recordings without ongoing fees. The current approach feels misleading and erodes trust.Until there is clearer communication and a less aggressive subscription model, I cannot recommend YI cameras to others.

After upgrading my iPhone, I find out They had deleted their initial app out of the App Store and can’t be downloaded again. so now the cameras that I have with the company are completely invalid. I have been waiting four days for support to contact me. And I have no way to log into my account on the new app, even though I already have a subscription for a year for one of my cameras. The app itself basically requires you to purchase the subscription to use it, and than the features don’t even work. I deleted one of my cameras from the other app in attempt to add it to the new one, and they don’t show up and the “scanner” is just a camera that messes with color saturation. Camera isn’t registered with Bluetooth (or isn’t showing up) and when I say it doesn’t show up I mean on wifi(it detects devices and then labels them unknown)
