To obtain a category B (car) driver’s license, the applicant must be at least 18 years old. The applicant must also be medically fit to drive. For this, a medical certificate stating “fit to drive” must be obtained. This report must be issued in a form approved by the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan and should confirm that the person is suitable to drive in terms of vision, hearing, neurological/psychiatric condition, etc. It should be noted that individuals with serious psychiatric or neurological disorders as defined in the relevant regulations will not be allowed to take the driving test.
