What’s new in Whistlr We’ve been busy. This update is all about making Whistlr feel more alive, more you, and way less work to actually enjoy. Here’s what’s different: – For You, for real We took Minis and rebuilt them into a true For You feed. It’s not your main home feed — it’s the place you go when you don’t feel like hunting for content but still want to see what’s good. Open it, scroll, done. – Trending that actually trends The Trending feed is now tuned to what people on Whistlr are *actually* talking about. Big conversations, inside jokes, live moments — if the platform is buzzing about it, it surfaces here fast. – Cleaner profiles, clearer you We cleaned up the user profile so it’s easier to show who you are and what you’re about. Less clutter, more signal. Your posts, lives, and links feel sharper and easier to explore. – Faster everything We fixed a bunch of bugs and tightened up performance so feeds load faster, profiles snap open, and the app just feels smoother all around. – Photo editing leveled up The photo editor got a serious upgrade. More control, more tools, more ways to actually make your posts look how you pictured them in your head — all without needing a separate editing app. – Stories that don’t fight you Story creation is now more advanced *and* cleaner. Better tools, better flow, and way less friction, so you can throw a story up in seconds or build something layered and detailed when you’re in the mood. So tell everyone.. What's whistling around in your head?

This update is all about making Whistlr feel faster, more expressive, and more real for the way you actually use it. First, the app just moves quicker. Load times are faster across the board so you can open Whistlr, see what’s happening, and post without feeling like you’re waiting on a spinning wheel. Posts themselves got an upgrade too — you can now write up to 800 characters, which means more room for actual thoughts, context, and personality instead of trying to squeeze everything into a couple of lines. Videos are where a lot of the fun happens, so we spent time there. The video editor now includes 20 new effects so you can tweak the mood, style, and look of what you’re sharing. You can react directly to other people’s content with your own video, and you can add music on top, so your replies and posts feel more like remixes and conversations, not just comments. Profiles are easier to manage now, so making your page look and feel like you want it to is less of a chore. Updating how you show up on Whistlr should feel simple, not like paperwork. We also brought back a revitalized version of Nearby. Instead of just seeing what’s around you, you can now go live from the location you choose. That means you can tap into the energy of a place, meet people around that spot, or host a live moment tied to somewhere that actually matters to you. Finally, messages got an upgrade with audio calls. When typing isn’t enough, you can jump straight into a voice conversation without leaving Whistlr, keep the same thread, and stay in the same space as your people. Under the hood, there are more performance fixes and stability work so everything feels smoother while you’re scrolling, posting, going live, or hopping on a call. This version is about making Whistlr faster, more flexible, and closer to how you and your friends already talk, watch, and hang out online.

Okay, this is the big one. We've been heads down for months rebuilding Whistlr. Not just stacking new stuff on top, but going back into the parts that felt slow or clunky and redoing them properly. Version 5 is the paradigm shift we been cooking for a long time .. Here's everything that's new. A VIDEO EDITOR, BUILT RIGHT IN You know the routine: film something, open a different app to edit it, export, come back, upload, hope the quality survived. We wanted that gone. Whistlr now has its own video editor with hundreds of filters, hundreds of effects, and your favorite music to put on top. Add stickers, layer it up, make it look how you pictured it. Everything happens in one place, from the first clip to the post. FLICKS: POST IT, LIVE IT, LET IT GO Not everything needs to sit on your profile forever. Flicks are short-life posts for whatever is happening right now: the view, the outfit, the thought you had at 2am. Your people see it, and then it's gone. Throw a poll or a sticker on it so friends can answer back instead of just tapping through. You decide what goes up and who gets to see it. NEARBY: FEEDS FOR REAL PLACES This is the one we're most excited for you to try. Nearby lets you create a feed tied to a location. Your campus. The venue you're at tonight. Your block. A festival. Post what's going on and see what everyone else in the same spot is sharing, as it happens. You can even go live straight into a Nearby feed, so the people around you (and the people wishing they were there) can tune in. MESSAGES, REBUILT FROM SCRATCH We'll say it: messaging wasn't where it needed to be. So we rebuilt the whole thing. Chats open faster. Scrolling back through old messages is smooth. Typing, sending, reacting, and bouncing between DMs and group chats all feel the way they should, like a conversation and not a loading screen. And there's something new in there: Audio Rooms. Start a voice room right inside your messages and just talk. Made for the group chat that has too much to say for typing. LIVE: NOW YOU'RE PART OF IT Watching a live used to mean just watching. Now you can participate in live streams, right in the moment with the person streaming and everyone else in the room. If you're the one going live, we cleaned up the whole flow. Starting, running, and ending a stream takes less effort. You can stream from your phone and external software at the same time, so a casual hang and a full setup both work. And you can pick a live category, which helps the right people find your stream. EVERYTHING IS FASTER Uploads are quicker, so there's less staring at a progress bar. Login and sign up take fewer steps, the error messages tell you what went wrong, and getting back in on a new phone is a lot less painful. EASIER TO MOVE AROUND There's new navigation at the top of your feed. Swipe or tap to jump between feeds and features without digging through menus. Browse got a cleanup too: a calmer layout, less noise, and more of the conversations, creators, and communities you'd stop scrolling for. DRAFTS: POST IT WHEN YOU'RE READY Made something but not sure about it yet? Save it as a draft. Nothing has to go up the second you finish it. Sit on it, come back later, change the caption five times, and post when it feels right. Or never. Your call. PLAYLISTS UP TO 60 SONGS Your custom playlists can now hold up to 60 songs. Room for the moods, the eras, the deep cuts. Enough that someone can land on your profile and get you from the music alone. That's the update. There's also a long list of smaller fixes we won't bore you with. Go try it. Make a Nearby feed, open an Audio Room, edit something. Then tell us what's working and what's not. We're building this with you.

This update is all about helping you show up more clearly — as a person, as a creator, and as a business — while giving your community better ways to follow, support, and grow with you. New affiliation badges Creators and businesses can now add a small logo next to their username as an affiliation badge. It’s a quick way to show who you’re building under — your brand, your collective, your company, your label, or your project. No glow, no gimmicks, just a simple visual marker that makes it easier for people to recognize you at a glance and understand what you’re connected to. Streamer channels you can actually follow Live isn’t meant to be a one‑off moment that disappears in a feed. You can now visit and subscribe to dedicated channels for your favorite streamers. When they go live, you’ll know — without having to scroll or hope it shows up somewhere. Each channel becomes a home base for their streams, so you can drop in, hang out, and come back when they’re live again. Relationships with real timelines Connections aren’t all the same, and they don’t all start “sometime back there.” You can now set the date a relationship began — for both personal and business relationships. That means your Engagement Rings and connection history are tied to something real, not a random guess. Whether it’s the friend you met last week or the brand you started working with last year, you can mark when it actually started. Playlists you can share Music on Whistlr is getting more personal. You can now build your own playlists and share them with your circle. Put together the tracks that live in your head right now, send them to a friend, or use them to give more context to your profile. Your taste doesn’t have to be a single song anymore — it can be a whole mood. Better live streaming under the hood Live streaming on Whistlr has been tuned up. Streams should start faster, feel more stable, and hold up better when your chat and viewers ramp up. We’ve made improvements to performance and controls so that going live feels less like “hope this works” and more like a tool you can rely on when it matters. Introducing Vault Vault is a new way to let your community directly contribute to what you’re building. Think of it as a shared space where support can stack up over time instead of disappearing after one moment. You decide how you use it — funding a project, backing a series, supporting your stream, or just giving your audience a clear way to help you grow without leaving Whistlr.

Whats up everyone! Whistlr 4.8 A lot changed in this update. Your profile got a complete rebuild. Your profile and account settings are now easier to use, easier to personalize, and much less buried. Change what people see, manage your privacy, and make your space feel like yours without digging through menus. Your circle is more personal. Whistlr is about more than collecting followers. You can now tell your family, friends, and community who you're closest to and what those relationships mean to you. Never miss a live stream. Subscribe to your favorite streamers and get notified when they go live. No refreshing. No hoping you catch it in time. Videos can now be up to 10 minutes. Sometimes 30 seconds isn't enough. Tell the whole story, teach something, take people behind the scenes, or just keep going. You now have up to 10 minutes when you need it. More tools for creators and businesses. Manage your presence, storefront, and live shopping more easily with new creator and business tools — all from Whistlr. Meet Browse. Your regular feed isn't going anywhere. Browse gives you another way to explore when you want to see more of a specific topic, creator, or type of content you're into. Two feeds. Two different ways to use Whistlr. Top 8 is easier to manage. Your closest people change. Your Top 8 can change with them. Rearrange, swap, and update your list whenever you want. And the stuff you don't see. We've cleaned up bugs, improved performance, and made things more stable behind the scenes. That's 4.8. Go take a look around. What's whistling around in your head?

Last update was the big rebuild. This one's the refinement. We went back into the same spots you told us you loved and pushed them further — faster, cleaner, and smarter across the board. TRENDING, EVEN SHARPER The redesigned trending feed already got you into the action quicker — now it's dialed in. Smarter surfacing means the content that's actually popping shows up first, and we trimmed load times again so it feels instant the second you open it. FRIENDS, MADE EASIER The Friends tab was just the start. We reorganized how people show up and made finding someone even quicker, so connecting with your friends and family takes seconds, not scrolling. MESSAGING THAT KEEPS GETTING BETTER This is the heart of the community, so we didn't stop at the rebuild. Messages send faster, the inbox feels lighter, and we smoothed out the rough edges you flagged. Mark as Unread is sticking around — now working even cleaner when you need a beat before replying. A PROFILE THAT JUST WORKS We kept tuning. Everything loads quicker, your info is easier to find, and response times took another jump so your profile feels snappy every single time. FLOW, TURNED UP Flow's own feed in Minis is now smoother than ever. Keep swiping through your favorite streamers back to back with less waiting and a cleaner ride — no searching, no reloading, just your creators on repeat. GETTING IN, SIMPLER STILL We took another pass at sign up and login to cut out more friction, so jumping in — or pulling a friend on board — is quicker than ever. UNDER THE HOOD And a fresh round of bug fixes and performance work to keep the whole thing running clean. Almost all of this came straight from your feedback. You told us where it could be better, we went back in. Keep it coming — we're not done.

This one's big. We spent the last stretch rebuilding the parts of the app you live in every day — feeds, messages, profiles, the works. Here's everything that changed. TRENDING, COMPLETELY REBUILT We tore down the old trending feed and started over. The new one is built for how you actually move — straight into the action, no warm-up. The freshest posts and content surface first, so you're never scrolling past yesterday's news to find what's happening right now. It's cleaner, it's tighter, and it loads noticeably faster. INTRODUCING THE FRIENDS TAB Finding your people shouldn't feel like a search mission. Before, tracking down a friend meant digging through a pile of unrelated content just to land on one person. Not anymore. The new Friends tab is a dedicated home for your friends and family — one organized place built for exactly one thing: connecting with the people you came here for. A REBUILT INBOX + MESSAGING SYSTEM Messaging is the core of this community, so we treated it that way. Our team spent weeks rebuilding the inbox from the ground up — cleaner layout, faster performance, and a lot less clutter getting between you and your conversations. New this release: Mark as Unread, so when you need a little more time before replying to someone, the message stays right where you'll see it. No more mental sticky notes. A CLEANER, SMARTER PROFILE Your profile got a full pass. Everything's more organized, easier to navigate, and quicker to find — plus improved response times across the board, so it feels snappy every time you open it. FLOW, EXPANDED Flow now has its own dedicated feed inside Minis. You can still head to the Flow discovery screen exactly like before, but now you can keep swiping through your favorite streamers back to back — no loading them one at a time, no searching for the same names on repeat. Just an uninterrupted run through the creators you actually follow. A SMOOTHER WAY IN We reworked the sign up and login flow to be simpler and more organized, so getting into the app (or bringing a friend on board) is faster and far less frustrating. UNDER THE HOOD Plus a long list of bug fixes and performance improvements to keep everything running smoothly. Almost every piece of this update traces back to feedback from people using the app every day. Keep telling us what's working, what's broken, and what you want next — we're building this with you, not just for you.

This update is our grateful letter to the people who make Whistlr feel alive — you. We rebuilt the login and sign-up flow from the ground up, so getting in is faster and simpler than ever. We also optimized loading speeds across the app, squashed a pile of bugs, and gave messaging a real polish. What's new this time: - Top 8 friends management is smoother and easier to fine-tune - Live Audio Rooms now hold up to 20,000 members at once - Tagging and collaborating got a whole lot more fun — tag up to 10 friends at a time - Picture-in-Picture mode for Whistlr live streams, so you never miss a moment

This update is a big one for us, and honestly it's been a labor of love. We've been hearing your feedback nonstop — in your reviews, in your DMs, in the group chats where you tell us what you actually want — and this release is our answer to all of it. We took what you told us and poured it into making Whistlr feel faster, more expressive, and more you. Thank you for being here and for shaping this with us. Here's everything that's new. Rooms are here You asked for a place to just be together, so we built it. Rooms are live, real-time spaces where you and your people can gather, talk, and hang out as things happen. Start one in seconds and invite people in. Keep it intimate for your closest friends, or leave it open for anyone who wants to drop by and listen. Host a discussion, run a late-night catch-up, share what's on your mind, or just leave a Room open and see who wanders in. This is the feature we're most excited about, and we genuinely can't wait to see the communities you build inside it. A rebuilt Trending feed and Minis You told us discovery felt clunky, so we rebuilt Trending and Minis from the ground up. It's cleaner, quicker, and so much easier to move through. Content surfaces faster, everything feels more responsive under your thumb, and Minis got a fresh layout that makes them genuinely fun to browse and easy to jump between. Less clutter, more of what you actually came for. Meet Your Top 8 This is the one so many of you have been asking for, and we're so hyped to finally hand it over. Your Top 8 is the eight people who get the front row on your profile — your day ones, your group chat, your ride-or-dies, your situationship you're not ready to explain yet. Setting it up takes seconds: tap into your profile, hit Edit, and drag your people into whatever order feels right. Rank them, rearrange them, swap someone in after a good week or quietly slide them down after a bad text back. It updates instantly, so your profile always reflects your circle right now. And here's the part that hits different — your Top 8 is public by default, so your friends can see when they make the list. Nothing sparks a "wait, am I in your Top 8?" conversation faster. Go build yours and let your people know where they stand. Your Wall is open Some things deserve more than a like. The Wall is your own space on your profile where your mutual friends can leave a message for everyone to see — birthday shoutouts, inside jokes, "miss you" drops, or just a random note to say you crossed their mind. Only mutual friends can post, so your Wall stays your circle, no randoms, no noise. Someone writes on your Wall, you get notified, and you can write right back on theirs. Tap into a friend's profile, find their Wall, and leave the first message. The best pages are the ones covered in love from their people, so go start the trend. Profile skins and online badges Your profile should feel like yours, so we gave you the tools to make it that way. Profile skins let you completely restyle your page to match your personality and mood, and you can change it as often as you like. Online badges now show your friends and followers when you're active, so it's easier than ever to see who's around and ready to connect. Your space, your style, your presence. Faster live streams Live streams now load noticeably faster. We spent a lot of time under the hood cutting down wait times, so you spend less time staring at a loading screen and more time in the moment — smoother and more seamless whether you're going live yourself or jumping into someone else's broadcast. More halo decorations for your avatar We added a whole new set of halo decorations for your avatar. Frame your profile picture with new styles, show off your personality, and stand out wherever you appear across Whistlr. There's more variety than ever, with something to match every vibe. This is just the start. Keep the feedback coming — ETAPX

This update is all about making Whistlr feel more like yours. We've smoothed out the rough edges and added new ways to express yourself — so the app feels faster, friendlier, and more you. What's new: - Faster load times and a smoother, easier in-app browsing experience - Squashed bugs for a more reliable ride - 40 new Moods to match how you're feeling - 50 new Halos to decorate your avatar and make it your own - More personalization options throughout - Upgraded Business Relationships tools - Whistlr Studio is now open to everyone — not just business users - Communities now support up to 50,000 members - A simpler way to share your favorite music artists, inside and outside the app Thanks for being here. We build this for you.

We've been heads-down for the last few weeks, and this update is a big one. Here's everything we packed in for you: - Avatar Halos are finally here We wanted your avatar to feel like yours — not just a photo in a circle. So we built Halos: animated decorations that wrap around your avatar and follow you everywhere you show up, from the feed to your profile, chats, Minis, and Flow. Head to Edit Profile or tap the new "Add a halo" shortcut in your profile menu to pick your vibe. And don't worry — we made sure only one animates at a time so your feed stays buttery smooth no matter how many Halos are on screen. - Make the app truly yours with custom icons Your home screen is personal, so now Whistlr can match it. Choose from our Default look or the new Apex color set — Blue, Ember, Pink, Cobalt, and Grey. We even built a real home-screen preview with wallpapers and a dock, so you can see exactly how your new icon will look before you commit. You'll find it waiting for you in Account Center. - A profile that finally feels like home We rebuilt your profile from the ground up. There's a new hero layout with your avatar right beside your name, bios now sit in quotes so they read like you said them, and your Friends and Friend Of stacks live right under your bio. Tap the song disc and it pauses to reveal the track. If your profile's feeling empty, we added friendly prompts to help you fill it in — and when you're editing, you'll see your changes mirrored live so there are no surprises. - Moods are back You asked, we listened. Set a text-only mood on your profile and in Account Center, sitting right next to your location. No clutter — just a few words on how you're feeling today. - Never miss who's LIVE We want you in the moment, so live viewer counts now show up across your Friends list, post cards, and Minis. One glance and you'll know exactly who's streaming right now. Behind the scenes we built a whole new Live Activities engine so this stays fast and reliable. - PX News, reimagined Tap the logo on your Home screen and you'll open a brand-new, full-screen updates space — the latest news, a "New" badge so you never miss a fresh drop, and full offline support so it loads instantly even when your signal doesn't. - A media feed that just feels better We reworked how media posts look and flow. Photos and videos now go edge-to-edge with the poster's info right on top and your caption and reactions tucked neatly below. Videos start faster, transitions are cleaner with no more black flashes, and there's now one simple mute switch for the whole feed. - Minis & Friends, leveled up We gave Minis and Friends a fresh, familiar layout, built an independent Friends feed so you see more of the people you actually care about, and cleaned up theater chat with floating reactions that make watching together more fun. - And a whole lot of polish We rebuilt sign-up and onboarding, added a glowing new wordmark, sped up the splash screen, smoothed out navigation, brought back tap-to-top on Home, and squashed a pile of bugs along the way. Little things — but you'll feel them. Thanks for whistling with us. This one was a labor of love, and we can't wait to see what you make with it. — The Whistlr Team
