more I know this is an initial release, but there seems to be a few bugs. 1. Articles not being marked read when selected (at first, this seemed to fix itself after a bit). 2. Incorrect unread counts on feeds. 3. Inconsistent feed loading (works sometimes, other times not). 4. iCloud sync issues (this one is very annoying). - Read articles kept getting marked unread. - Feeds would re-order themselves after manual sorting. - The app seemed to be constantly trying to sync and fighting with itself as if multiple sync ops were going simultaneously (after a while, that seems to have settled down). Coming from Reeder Classic, there is one missing feature I expected to be available (at least as an option), which is to follow links/open articles in the app itself (via embedded web viewer) vs. opening links in an external browser.

Really, I liked it but, Please, add in-app browser with Adblock, RTL preview in Arabic Articles, and support external syncing like webdav or other cloud storage.

What's new in this version of Newsbin
A stability release with faster list refreshes, fewer duplicate items, and important fixes to keep Newsbin reliable when the app is backgrounded.
Improvements

- Import batches collapse same-id duplicates as they arrive, preventing duplicate rows after large refreshes.
- Faster, lighter UI updates: AppView now reacts to lightweight registry change counters instead of repeatedly scanning the database.
- New per-folder and per-feed Archive action in the article toolbar to quickly clear out a single source or folder.
Fixes
- Resolved background crashes (RunningBoard "0xdead10cc") by guarding SwiftData work and watch updates while the app is suspended.
- Fixed orphaned feeds and metadata that could remain after deleting a folder; folder deletion is now performed as an awaited batch.
- Collapses duplicate folders that share the same name and parent, remapping their feeds to a single keeper.
- Detail view now loads articles via the JavaScript bridge after navigation finishes, avoiding crashes on very large articles.
- Various small fixes to persistence consistency, watch sync debouncing, and UI styling.

What's new in this version of Newsbin
This update adds website grouping with smart auto-read, a refreshed Unreads settings panel, haptic feedback across the app, and major improvements to Nearby and iCloud sync reliability.
New

- Automatically mark website sections as read as you scroll past them. Toggle this on or off in the new Unreads settings.
- New Unreads settings panel to control unread indicators and auto-read behavior.
- Haptic feedback on common actions for a more responsive feel.
Improvements
- Nearby sync now uses history-based reconciliation, so deleted items stay deleted and peers reliably catch up after being offline. Read/unread changes propagate faster between nearby devices.
- More stable iCloud sync with fewer race conditions, smarter import debouncing, and reduced background work.
- Faster startup and refreshes thanks to coalesced batch saves and async persistence.
- Article detail view loads more efficiently with targeted fetching of nearby entries, lowering memory use.
- Broader localization coverage and refined UI copy across settings and the welcome screen.
Fixes
- Prevented a duplicate app instance from opening the same iCloud store.
- iCloud-synced icon preferences no longer trigger the "Icon Changed" alert on launch.
- User-set read/unread state is preserved when feeds are re-parsed.
- Article and feed IDs are preserved on deletion to avoid resurrected items during sync.
- visionOS: guarded an unsupported sensory feedback API and refined section header styling.
- Web links are now opened only for http(s) schemes.
- Various small UI, localization, and stability fixes.

- Faster, more accurate unread badges across folders and smart groups, with consistent counts on nested folders.
- Article refreshes and database maintenance now run in the background, keeping the UI responsive during large syncs.
- Smoother sidebar and image loading: smarter favicon prefetching, fewer redundant updates, and reduced animation flicker.
- More efficient CloudKit sync batching and broadcast of read state to nearby devices.
Fixes
