I get adds about every minute

Game is very fun. The premise is very interesting, and merging creatures with different classes to make stronger ones is very fun. The images for the various creatures are pretty cute, while others are very pretty/gorgeous (this is more of a biased take as the graphics really suit my aesthetic). The only downside to the game is the number of ads you’ll get. They literally pop up every five minutes or so. As another review said, they should definitely be completely optional. I’ve already watched like 10 (?) or so for the legendary egg or whatever, but getting the option to watch an ad for rewards vs. behind hit by ads every five minutes…well, one makes the game more enjoyable and the other makes me want to delete it. I’ve been debating whether or not I should get the ad pass to remove ads. Since it comes with its own rewards, it doesn’t seem too bad, but $20 in my opinion is indeed pricey for what’s offered. I actually came to look at reviews and hopefully find an affirmative on the ad pass, but I guess I’ll wait and see.

I like this game a lot and will continue to play it hoping future updates clean it up a bit, but there are a lot of issues I have with it at the same time. The features including merging for better monsters is awesome, and the ability to choose what element you want specific creatures to take on is a great idea especially for making teams with certain attributes for the added bonus that multiple give you during battle. I think if there were a higher drop rate for elementals from eggs, so you don’t end up with too many 3 star creatures, would be really nice. The ads are very relentless though, and sometimes you have to pay for the “gifts” that are supposed to be free from watching an ad… pop-up ads last like 25 seconds at most, but you could tap literally anything and they pop up. The gift ads aren’t bad because you can choose to watch them, they’re presented by a little present icon in the corner of the screen and floating around the screen, but sometimes the gifts themselves are a ridiculous amount of in game currency, or COST REAL MONEY! They’re supposed to be gifts, but are treated as discounted items. This is just misleading. The only other issue I have is that the shop is very pricey, and you could buy $40 worth of in game currency and still not be able to afford half the amount of certain items. To remove ads entirely you need to pay $20 or $40 for the vip which also removes ads.

Gameplay wise, it’s fun and the mechanics of merging creatures to create new and unique ones is addictive. Solid game overall for the most part.Besides the ads, my real complaint lies within the art for the creatures obviously being AI generated. Don’t get me wrong, AI can be a great tool when it comes to design inspiration, but it can’t replace a real artist while achieving the same level of quality. So many of the designs have inconsistencies and little things that don’t quite make sense, I mean there’s not even an attempt to hide the fact the art is AI. If you’re going to use AI for the art AT LEAST get a real artist to touch up those problem areas to make it less obvious, and give some sort of illusion that there was actual effort put in here. If it weren’t for the AI art, this game would’ve easily been 4-5 stars for me. Shame to see this potential go to waste.
