Cloud cover that matters for flying: • Low clouds instead of total cloud cover: the tile now counts only clouds and fog up to 3 km. High cirrus, which could read close to 100 % under a blue sky, no longer counts. Thanks to Christian for the tip!

What's new in DroneTools 1.3, our biggest update yet: your own limits and profiles for every drone, the new rain rate, wind in m/s, daylight per EU air law and large tiles on iPad and Mac. YOUR LIMITS & DRONE PROFILES • Use sliders to set when each value turns “Limited” or “Critical” – values snap to round numbers • Create a profile for each drone and share it as a file: from AirDrop or Files it opens right in DroneTools, on the Mac too • Three templates to get started: Cautious, Wind-Resistant Drone and Waterproof Drone – adjust or delete them as you like • Turn off the critical level for a single value or exclude it altogether • Restore a value's defaults with one tap RAIN • New rain rate tile: how much is falling right now, in mm/h – with its own limits • Ideal for waterproof drones: configurable, e.g. just a notice for chance of rain and red only in heavy rain UNITS & TIME • Wind in m/s by default, as drone manufacturers specify it, or in km/h, kn or mph.
