more So the app works and all is well, until I attempt to read my pdf files. It’s a very strange behavior, where pressing the pdf has the 3 bouncing dots then it simply gives up and goes back to book library. Rarely, it works and seems fine. Sometimes, I see a split second of a page within the pdf, only for it to go to library. Sometimes, I even get to flip a page before it goes back to library again. I reckon it’s crashing, but mostly unsure as to why it does this. Everything else I’ve used (koreader & apple books then other random iphone reading apps) has no issue. It’s just readest. Maybe the fact that they are large pdf’s? They are 150mb+. I am on iphone 14 pro max. Easily 5 stars without this problem, but it does make me resort to apple books as it is now so 4 star is appropriate until this is fixed. Thank you so much!!!!!!!! I love readest and I can’t wait to implement this as my everyday reader! Pesky pdfs

I've been stuck using Kybook 3, After using this app for the past, maybe two weeks I'm really am impressed. I can organize all of my Epub books from A03 along with all my other books, The TTS had so many voice options, and there's lots of options on customization for backgrounds, fonts, and all of that. It's really a good app.

I love using alternate software on my Kindle. The only stock feature I missed was the ability to pick up where I left off on my phone later on. With the new update, this app finally gives back the same functionality. It took me some trial and error to get matching files to the app, but now it works without a second thought. I can’t overstate my gratitude to the dev team for making such great software—the fact that its open source is even better.If a future update could enable syncing files as well as progress, that would merit at least a sixth star! But as it is, this app absolutely earns its name. Definitely the best e-reader on the App Store for my use case.
