For everyone • Set your area from where you are: tap the location button in the postcode box. • A blue dot now shows where you are on the map. • To save battery and data, the map pauses live van positions after 30 minutes untouched. Tap the map to carry on. Arrival chimes are not affected. For ice cream vendors • Location Sharing has a new layout: whether you're Live or Offline, then your settings at a glance. • Where customers see you: just in their area, or everywhere on the map. • Home area: mark the area around your yard and Chimes goes Offline when you're parked there. • Go Offline daily: choose a time and Chimes stops sharing at that time every day. Reliability improvements and bug fixes, including time pickers that did not open on some iPhones.

For ice cream vendors: Live sharing now keeps going when your phone is locked. • Location Sharing: a new screen and a map banner show whether you're Live or Offline. Tap Share Location to go Live, Stop Sharing to go Offline. • While you're Live, customers keep seeing your van move even when Chimes is in the background or your phone is locked in the cab. It stops as soon as you go Offline or sign out. • Chimes only asks for location "While Using the App", never "Always". iOS shows its location indicator whenever sharing runs in the background. • Your sign-in code now lasts 15 minutes. • Reliability improvements and bug fixes.

Ice cream vendors can now put their business on Chimes, straight from the app. • Register your business: open Settings and tap Register your business. Choose a Free listing (a pin in your area all year round, with your menu, WhatsApp and socials, and no location tracking) or Live van tracking (a free trial: customers see your van move and get a chime as you arrive). • No password: we email you a code to sign in. • Reliability improvements and bug fixes, including more dependable sign-in.

Favourites and a smarter map. • Favourites: tap the heart on any vendor to save them. Your list shows who's LIVE, who's offline and when they were last seen, and who's outside your area. • Map filter: the new binoculars button lets you show all vendors, Chimes vendors, tracked vendors, live vendors, or just your favourites. • Refreshed Quick Start and Help screens, with up-to-date pictures of the map. • For vendors: clearer Privacy Mode, and a warning if your details don't save. • Reliability improvements and bug fixes.
