I feel a sense of freedom to do and pick what i want and how i want to make my deck. This is largely due to the “pick a card” in the specific rarity item reward you get. There is still the random ones for those that like rng. You can adapt so if your loosing it’s because you haven't ben creative enough to come up with a counter or the opponent has paid and you cant really do anything about that they are supporting the game so technically its fine.
