This is a fantastic, clever, suspenseful game with beautiful graphics that’s definitely worth the price. I never write reviews, but this game is so close to perfect I wanted to mention a couple things that would elevate it to five stars. The main issue is the controls. Since the timeline scrubber and rewind/fast-forward buttons are laid over the “board,” it’s far too easy to tap the board accidentally, moving the characters where you don’t want them, when you’re trying to time-travel forward or back. If you do make this kind of mistake, you may have to redo a large part of the level you’d already finished. Conversely, it’s easy to tap the timeline scrubber when you’re trying to move a character to a specific spot, shifting the level to a time position you’re not currently playing. Paradoxically, this is an even bigger problem on the iPad, despite the extra screen space, and there’s no way to undo a quick but frustrating mistake. Which leads me to my second point…PLEASE add an Undo button! Since it’s so easy to tap something accidentally, which makes the game tedious instead of fun, there should be a quick way to reverse your previous action. That alone would make this a 5-star game.Again, I love playing Timelie. It has just the right level of difficulty, and passing a realm always feels rewarding. I tried this game after loving Snapbreak’s Boxes: Lost Fragments, which may be my favorite mobile game ever. I’m hoping for a sequel to that sometime soon.I definitely recommend this game, even with the control issues I discussed. It’s a great way to strategize and solve entertaining problems.
