A standout pie menu for launching apps, switching between running ones, triggering shortcuts, and controlling music. A pupil-pleasing productivity booster to get things done.
Features
• Let your apps fly—in a pie
• Switch between running apps in a snap
• Launch your favorite apps, folders, and documents in an instant
• Trigger actions in other apps via their shortcuts
• Control Apple Music, Spotify, and Doppler with the one-of-a-kind Music Remote
• Activate the pie menu anytime with a customizable keyboard shortcut
You can assign any keyboard shortcut to open the pie menu. There are two modes to choose from: Either you hold the shortcut and trigger the selected action upon release (a behavior often found in games), or you tap the shortcut once and make your selection with a mouse click. The menu can also be fully navigated using just the keyboard. It appears either at the current mouse position or centered on the active screen.
Accessibility is very important to me. The app supports all macOS accessibility features – including VoiceOver, Increased Contrast, Reduced Transparency, and Smart Invert Colors. Haptic feedback, sound effects, and animations can be disabled individually if needed. I can’t test everything comprehensively in everyday use, so I appreciate any feedback on how to make the app even more inclusive (martin@appahead.studio).

Very handy!

This App is awesome! Not only is it very easy to use and intuitively designed, the overall user experience is simply so satisfying. I love the sound it makes when you activate the pie menu and hover over each shortcut. I guess it would be even more amazing if I could activate the pie menu with not only a keyboard shortcut, but also a custom button on my mouse. I use a gaming mouse and it has a lot of buttons on the side. If I could simply press a button on my mouse and then use my cursor to launch an app, I won’t have to move my hand away from my mouse. Also would it be possible to add other functionalities such as a quick access to the clipboard so that I could paste previously copied text, or quick access to most recent files, etc. I can see this tool evolving into a Swiss Army knife type of app that is always available at your finger tips (literally). Great work!
Great app for multitasking!

This feature is much-needed for people who tend to use a lot of programs at once on their Mac. For those who don’t know, this app essentially allows you to set a hot key (a combination of keyboard presses) to activate a wheel (which is centered on your mouse cursor). Then, you can select any app you currently have open using the wheel, and then it will switch to it. It’s handy, so you don’t have to keep going back down to the Dock to select your app. It’s similar to the weapon wheel in GTA V.They also allow you to set an alternate sound theme to be more playful, but the default sounds good already. You can also set it up to where it won’t show any specific apps you have open, meaning Finder (which is always running) or any other apps you choose won’t appear in the wheel. It’s also very satisfying when you hover over an app icon on the wheel, as the animations are smooth and honestly something Apple themselves would make. There’s also Taptic Feedback (a vibration on the built-in trackpad if you have a supported Mac) every time you hover over an icon. It’s simple and intuitive, too. All in all, brilliant idea, even better execution! Would highly recommend! 👍
Absolutely Fantastic!

This is just the type of app I’ve been wanting for awhile; it’s like having the Wacom radial dial across all of MacOS.. and without having to use my Wacom tablet. I love the launcher, being able to assign the main apps I’m always switching between, but often get lost in the clutter of the standard app switcher. And the in-app controller is going to really speed things up for me. Apps like Discord, I forget lots of hotkeys and often invoke them on accident. Now I have them programmed into Pieoneer and can use it to navigate around a lot easier. Also, the sound effects are perfect!
Great Idea. Can be very powerful with some additions!

Pieoneer is a very good looking app, that works well with a mouse with programmable buttons (need to allocate three buttons or two for the three functions - Switcher is pretty good for the long run. But maybe a few features need to be added in the Controller and the Launcher. The Controller needs to have groups, in case there are quite a lot of shortcuts the user needs to deal with, for certain apps. Similarly, groups are necessary for the Launcher, as the current launcher becomes quite unweildy with about 10 apps, and then hits a hard limit quite soon. I think its a logical evolution for this app to have groups. Another improvement is to have the ability to add “links” - to URLs (www, xcallbacks, and the like), to Apple Shortcuts, and then simply to files.
With this update, the pie menu can now also be shown when the currently focused app is in full-screen mode. This version also includes several noticeably improved performance enhancements!
