So i don’t write reviews . I will update this as i go along right off the bat. The quiz got my shade perfect shipping took kind of forever in today’s day and age that might just be me personally, but I’ve kind of forgot I even ordered it. Secondly, I’m somebody who enjoys a thinner foundation and this is definitely a medium consistency. I don’t know if that is different for everybody, but I didn’t let the app know I prefer a thinner buildable coverage. This is meant to cover acne so I guess I could’ve expected that. I’ve only used it once or twice so my opinion on the product I don’t believe is tested enough to make a fair judgment, but I havenot quite mature skin in my 30s so for a teen i can see this being. Life saver. Older gen. To be determined .

I am rating the app, NOT the product as 2/5 stars. The products work just fine, but the app has its issues. While the concept of the app is great, check-ins, messaging with your doctor, reminders to use your regimen, I have one big hang-up. Each week you take a picture to send off for analysis to see how your acne has improved. That’s smart. BUT. The image capture feature requires you to center your chin and forehead with your face straight on to camera. This is fine if all of your blemishes are located in your t-zone or the front of your cheeks. However, mine are on my jawline underneath my chin and really aren’t visible if you only look at me head on. This does not allow for an accurate depiction of acne severity or progress. I have message the IT team from Methodiq and they have stated they can’t adjust those settings. I understand having a standardized system can be helpful, but acne is not a standardized issue. Not every person has break-outs in the same locations and not every product works for every individual. I think it would be beneficial to allow for more images to be uploaded that don’t require such specific alignment within the frame.

This definitely seems scammy. Providers never respond to check ins or questions and you can’t even use the app or messages until your product arrives. There is limited information on products. I took the online quiz and indicated that I was breastfeeding. They prescribed a routine that i presumed was BF friendly since I indicated this however after the order was placed I received an auto response from the provider with instructions and indicated not to use if breastfeeding or pregnant. I was unable to respond to the message until my order arrived and then unable to respond until I had a weekly check in after using the product a week. It’s been several weeks and I still cannot message my provider nor did they respond to any of my checkins. Considering they are medically prescribing items they should have a better ethical standard to uphold. Additionally I agree with other reviewers that it is very cult like with language and reminders for check-ins and the commitment they want to using the products despite lack of provider response.

The products are okay, but the subscription isn’t as adjustable and customizable as it seems and is presented. Once you start, your treatment kit is basically fixed and isn’t easily adjusted based on results or how your skin reacts. I went two months without hearing anything from my provider based on my weekly check-ins and had no adjustments despite no results. I reached out when my acne wasn’t improving and was told to keep using the same products and that no results or even purging during month 3 was norming and that they couldn’t themselves as medical providers adjust or switch my products. This was slightly frustrating because the subscription is expensive and I was under the impression for two months that it was adjustable based on photo check ins. Just be aware this is more of a preset system than a truly customized acne treatment.
