Set each sound's volume, save the mix as a preset, and play it on your iPhone, iPad or in CarPlay. • 24 sounds built in Rain, distant thunder, wind, ocean waves and a bubbling stream. Birds, a pine forest and crickets on a summer night. A train, a sailboat, an airplane cabin and a busy street. A coffee shop, a crackling fireplace, a fan and a dryer in the laundry room. Warm piano, gentle guitar, lo-fi beats and an ambient synth. And the noise family: white, pink, green and deep brown. They all live on your device, so nothing streams. • Build your own mix Turn on any sounds you like and drag each slider until the mix feels right. Save it as a preset, give it artwork, and star your favorites. • Sleep timer Pick how long to listen. Blankie fades out and stops on its own, so nothing runs until morning. • Widgets, Siri and Shortcuts Start a favorite from your Home Screen, ask Siri to play a preset, or build Blankie into your own shortcuts. • Lock Screen, Control Center and AirPods Play, pause and step between presets from the Lock Screen, Control Center or your AirPods. • CarPlay Long drive with a sleeping kid in the back? Your presets and sounds come along, in a simple view made for the car. • Support for iPhone Duo Open it and Now Playing fills one page while your sounds fill the other. Stand it half open on your nightstand and the upright half shows what's playing, with your sounds in reach on the flat half. • Bring your own sounds Bring the fan you can't sleep without, a favorite rain recording, or anything else as MP3, WAV, FLAC and more. First saw this app on Threads and must say, my expectations were met. Like the title says, it is an app that does exactly what it is meant to do in a simple, intuitive and effective way. Easy 5 stars and recommendation to friends who also benefit from background sounds/ambient for concentration and productivity. Nice work Dev!

First saw this app on Threads and must say, my expectations were met. Like the title says, it is an app that does exactly what it is meant to do in a simple, intuitive and effective way. Easy 5 stars and recommendation to friends who also benefit from background sounds/ambient for concentration and productivity. Nice work Dev!
Incredible but one suggestion: MENU BAR + HIDE FROM DOCK!

I find the sound combinations more pleasing than even paid Noizio. Kudos to this incredible app developer, and thank you for bringing happiness and productivity to many lives with your work, including my own. You’re an awesome person! SUGGESTION: Please add an option for menu bar controls, and the ability to hide it from the dock. Also less of a big deal, but maybe a less-skeuomorphic and more modernized app icon? The icon change is more nitpicking and not urgent, but the menu bar + dock-hiding features would be a game-changer and are the only (minor yet primary) reasons I still prefer Noizio right now.

Thanks for the suggestion! In Blankie 2.0, there is now a menubar icon that opens a popover where you can update your mix and even set a timer. Based on your feedback specifically, I added an option in settings so you can completely hide the dock icon. Hope you enjoy!

Enjoyable and effective, but a there are a few missing features and issues. 1. The menubar item is nice, but it is not clear how open the configuration interface. And the blanket image is incongruous with the rest of the app design. 2. It would be nice to be able to choose whether to use either the dock icon or the menu bar instead of both. 3. A few of the recordings need work. For example, the Coffee Shop has too much low end while the Storm does not have enough. Looking forward to improvements. Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestions! Based on your feedback, I re-did some of the mixes for the latest version of Blankie (Blankie 2.0) and the "seam" in most loops should be a lot less noticeable. Also, in Blankie 2.0, you can now import additional sounds if you'd like something else. There is also now a menubar icon that opens a popover where you can update your mix and even set a timer. Because of feedback like yours, I also added an option in settings so you can completely hide the dock icon. Hope you enjoy!

I love this app and the flexibility of mixing the sounds. Each night I can try something different to see what works the best for me. I enjoy using it to read to as well. Gives the perfect sounds to block out the rest of my surroundings.

What's new in 2.1: - Home Screen widgets: Start a favorite, Quick Mix or a single sound in one tap, or play and pause from Now Playing. - Siri, Shortcuts and Spotlight: Ask Siri to play a preset or sound, build your own actions in the Shortcuts app, and find your presets in Spotlight. - Support for iPhone Duo: Now Playing on one screen and the Sound Mixer on the other, in any pose. Seated on a nightstand, the upright half shows what's playing. Fold or close it and you keep your place. - Now Playing opens first on iPhone: Picking a preset or sound now takes you to what's playing, and Quick Mix still opens to its tiles. To go straight to the mixer instead, turn off Open to Now Playing in Settings. - Wider layout on iPad: A preset's page now shows its artwork at the top. Preset and sound editors open in a side panel (iPadOS 27), so the page you're changing stays in view. Now Playing can keep your sounds or the sleep timer open beside it. - Sound subtitles: Every built-in sound now has a short subtitle ("Soft, steady rainfall"), shown in the app, on the Lock Screen and in CarPlay. - Fixes for playback, the sleep timer, preset imports, custom sounds, CarPlay and the Lock Screen.
