I’ve tried many of these expense trackers but always gave up since they involved a more complicated process. This app is easy and quick. It scans (or uploads) the receipt and accurately extracts all the info it can. I am very pleased.

The ReceiptGenie is a great tool to keep all your receipts organized. It is easy to use and accurate in its functionality. The app description indicates that your data stays on your device, but the app will not work without a network connection. Seems like the app is sending my data somewhere. No thanks!

Accuracy is our top priority when it comes to receipt scanning. Unfortunately we still have to send the receipt to the cloud to achieve the accuracy we want. One thing we do ensure is that we are not selling any of our user’s data to market research companies for extra cash, and the provider we use do not take the data for AI training purposes. Also we do not store edits on our servers so at the end of the day, your financial data stays with you. I hope one day our phone and the AI is powerful enough to keep everything local. Cheers!
