Fixed an issue where playback could become silent when continuing into a section with a tempo curve. Audio now resumes correctly after a temporary buffering interruption.

What's new Practice page turns Record page turns on their own, without making a full performance recording. Edit them with Undo and Redo, share them, or copy them between PDFs. Saved PDFs Sessions now remember your selected PDF and its matching page turns. Tempo and iPad controls Apply tempo changes across a movement or section group. On iPad, move and resize the score mixer and access metronome settings more easily. Help Use Ask Agent to copy the Help guide into a prompt for your preferred AI assistant. Improvements and fixes More reliable playback, loops, seeking, and section transitions. More accurate page-turn transfers from recordings and clearer import results. Fixed freezes when switching recordings and improved accessibility, audio-device handling, and recording management.

App version 2.3.0 Build 166 Updated July 16, 2026, 7:14 PM EDT Summary covers changes since version 2.2.1+162. New important features Public recording registry A new public recording registry lets you share complete events-only recordings for a movement or whole piece, with cadenza-pause section endings, for admin review and publication. Imported public recordings arrive as ready-to-replay events-only recordings with built-in session data and page markers. Preserved recorded material Recorded material is preserved when you remove a section from the active playlist, so the same captured span returns if you add it back. Inactive spans are skipped during events-only replay and export while staying visible on the source timeline. Recording workflow Active capture is more stable when moving between movements, and session and timeline edits are blocked during a take to prevent accidental disruption. The single clear-timeline action is now split into three clearer options: Start New, Clear Material, and Close Recording. Playback The mixer is now reachable directly from the score view. Pressing Start resumes playback from where it was paused. Bug fixes Recordings Recording submissions to the shared registry no longer reset page counts set by an earlier table-of-contents submission, and repeated submissions map cleanly to the same edition. Loaded recording timelines stay visually inactive for movements with no recorded sections, preventing confusing replay edits or tempo reprojections. Replay Manually advancing to the next recorded section before a pause marker no longer creates unintended timeline edits, undo-history entries, or marks the recording as changed. Section advances during replay now let the previous section's tail finish naturally and land cleanly on the next recorded section, even when skipping an unreached cadenza pause.

GPhil v2.2.1 (162) June 12, 2026 7:55 PM What's New: - Added a Fix Recording tool for legacy recordings. Toggle it from the recordings menu; each affected row gets a wrench button that tries to repair stale data, generates missing names, and archives outdated projection files — backups are kept automatically. - Added an Open Recordings Folder action in the recordings menu (desktop only) to quickly access your recording files in Finder or Explorer. - Fixed recording imports (JSON and ZIP) so they update the list without auto-opening the imported recording. - Fixed repeated taps on an already-loaded recording to keep the current replay instead of reloading it.

App version 2.2.0 Build 159 Updated June 9, 2026, 4:26 PM EDT Summary covers changes since version 2.1.0+149. New features Recording is now independent from sessions Recordings and sessions are now fully separate. Each recording has its own session baked in, so replay always uses the original tempos and section preferences regardless of what changed in your practice session. Any edits you make during practice are saved directly to the recording and do not affect your saved sessions. Loading a recording uses its own session state, and loading a session does not auto-load any linked recordings. Use Recent Recordings in the Library screen to access your saved recordings without navigating to the dedicated Recordings Screen. Recording formats and quality Choose your audio format before recording, including WAV, FLAC, WavPack, OGG, and Opus with adjustable quality levels. Encoding starts during recording for faster saves, and a safety WAV is kept if the chosen format ever fails. Appending and saving recordings When appending to a recording, choose to continue the existing take or start a new one. Fresh recordings stay as reviewable drafts until you choose Save Recording. Save Recording As creates an independent copy while sharing the original user audio (if recorded). Section Start Offset Shift when a section's audio begins using Section Start Offset. Positive values add a silent lead-in, negative values skip into the source. Offsets are included in Restore Score and can be reset by playlist, movement, or whole score. Start offsets are included into standard sections controls, auto-continue sections now have separate Start/End mode for adjusting start offset or auto-continue transition point (end). GPhil Pro A Terms of Use link has been added in GPhil Pro settings for App Store compliance. Bug fixes Recording reliability Recordings are more dependable across save, copy, import, repair, recovery, and export. Missing audio shows clearer warnings with improved Repair Take and Import Package recovery (full recording with user audio takes). Older recordings with missing audio paths can recover from matching shared media. Recording export Fixed iOS recording export so audio, section clips, and archives open the Save dialog reliably without crashing. Restore Score and audio effects Restore Audio Effects and Restore All now correctly return the effects rack to defaults instead of leaving previous settings applied.

New features Audio effects GPhil now includes an in-app audio effects rack with EQ, reverb, compressor, and limiter controls. Effects can be saved per section, exported with recordings, and reused with presets. Recordings Recording tools are more flexible, with mid-section recording, optional setup, rename support, and clearer recording management. Recording preview now has a shared timeline with synchronized zoom, waveforms, orchestra tracks, and one playhead. Recording export Recording export now follows section timing more naturally and keeps orchestra playback smoother through transitions. Exports can include audio effects for both orchestra and user audio. Sessions Session workflows are easier to manage with direct session renaming, safer delete warnings, recent-session updates, and linked session names for recordings. Accessibility The app has a broad accessibility update with screen reader support across practice, recordings, library, sessions, settings, and audio tools. Keyboard shortcut controls now have clearer labels, conflict warnings, and reset actions. Page turns Page turn markers are easier to adjust on tablets with a dedicated long-press marker move mode. Subscriptions GPhil Pro and subscription settings are clearer, with offer code redemption and more reliable purchase syncing. Bug fixes Playback and replay Improved replay, loop, and section navigation reliability. Playback now handles end-of-replay transitions, previous-section shortcuts, Cadenza pause markers, and timeline sync more consistently. Score restore Fixed restore and startup behavior so score settings, EQ curves, loops, metronome settings, layer volumes, tempo, and effects update more consistently. Recordings Improved recording reliability when the app is backgrounded, closed, renamed, deleted, restored, or synced with cloud data. Fixed recording replay and export issues involving mid-section starts, FLAC audio, effects, iOS layout, auto-continue transitions, and section jumps. Tempo graph Improved tempo graph stability for live recording alignment, beat labels, curve editing, expanded graph sync, and marker positioning. Sessions Fixed and clarified session edge cases, including missing linked sessions, active-session deletion, import overwrite warnings, and duplicate recording names. Library Fixed an issue where the Library screen could show an empty list. Downloaded score PDFs provided by the app can now be deleted if needed. Layout Improved layout and responsiveness for long score names, session names, recording lists, status bars, and tablet controls.

New customizable keyboard shortcuts in Settings Progress bar removed, with functionality merged into the tempo graph GPhil v2 will introduce an editable tempo curve for more flexible control within each section

App remembers wireless latency set by the user and applies it automatically on practice screen Fix: swipe gesture to add sections to the playlist now correctly loads metronome files

Fix: - Wireless playback, more precision when calculating wireless audio latency - App's state restoration when resuming from the background - Auto-update latency values when switching between devices New: User-adjustable audio latency for wireless playback when audio device provides incorrect information. Latency is calculated properly in most cases, but when manual syncing needed (for metronome visual/audio feedback), the amount is adjustable via Latency icon in the sections area.
