First actually useful app. Struggle made easy now.

Really well made with a ton of useful features. It’s also constantly evolving and improving to fit the users needs. Before downloading and actually making the commitment to myself I would struggle to get passed a week without relapsing. However, I learned I wasn’t on this journey alone. The community helped a ton with motivational posts and heart touching stories. I feel like I am actually in tune with my body and understand my urges and desires with the checkin and symptoms logging. Most importantly it’s a very clean user experience unlike other apps which makes it super easy for me to use the app every single day. Very satisfying to use and gamifies the whole process which is what some of us need.

This app doesn’t work right. If you fail and have to start your streak over, the app will restart back to zero which it should but as soon as you go out and enter back into app, it restates to however many days you’ve had the app! It doesn’t keep track it just counts days even if you don’t enter anything! The streak should start over if you tell it you’ve relapsed! Also, the question don’t even make sense. It asked if you watched porn today. If you say yes (or no) it will ask about your urges. Then it will give you a multiple choice question. The question is something like “did you experience any strong urges” the three option are “yes but I resisted” “mild urges only” and “ no urges at all” well what if you had urges and didn’t resist!?! There is no option for that. Why are they even asking these question because they have no point if you can even enter what actually happen. Poor Ui experience and app freezes and just need work. I do not recommend this app!

After years of relapsing over and over again and trying so get rid of this habit like we all do, Overcomer finally allowed me to actually quit. The progress tracking and badges really helped me stay in check and stay motivated to go the distance, and I love how I can track my triggers to know where my weakest points are. The app really works and I’d definitely recommend everyone with this addiction to try it out, it’ll change your life.

I downloaded this app thinking that I had finally found something that could help me quit. I did this because of the hype for this app and everyone saying it’s good. So I did, I entered all the info, and did all the starting screen stuff. When I completed it it said choose a monthly plan or something. I mean are you kidding me? Can we get anything for free these days? The app says it wants to help people, what about ones without money? Do we just not care about them now? I don’t see why we should be having to pay for this. This also shows that the developers clearly do not care about people, they just want money.My advice: don’t download this app, unless you got money. There are other ways to quit effectively.
