Reef Trak 2.3.5 New: Tank Insights Your aquarium records can now tell a more complete story. From your tank dashboard, swipe left to open Tank Insights. This new interactive view brings together recent testing, feeding, dosing, maintenance, water changes, equipment activity, and other recorded events to help you understand what has been happening throughout your aquarium. Tank Insights can show: • A summary of recent activity across your tank • Testing frequency and the latest recorded values • Parameter stability and developing trends • Feeding activity compared with previous weeks • Completed, paused, and overdue maintenance • Parameters that may be becoming stale • Recorded actions that may be connected with later changes Each card provides a useful summary without requiring you to dig through multiple sections of Reef Trak. Expand a card to view additional records, dates, trends, and supporting information. Parameter-related cards can also lead into more detailed history and analysis. Tank Insights uses careful language when comparing events. It can show that one event was followed by another or that records may be related, but it does not automatically claim that one action caused a change. Improved parameter tracking Parameter information is now more consistent throughout Reef Trak and the Web Portal. Phosphorus is easier to locate and now appears correctly on the reef parameter dashboard. Supported ICP elements are also organized more consistently under the Trace category. Freshwater GH and TDS can now be viewed through the Web Portal. The Web Deep Dive 7, 30, and 90-day controls now correctly filter the displayed history, helping ensure reports reflect the selected time period. Cycle Assistant evidence and supporting information also display more reliably through the Web Portal. More connected aquarium records Feeding, water changes, parameter reminders, measurements, Trak Sitter activity, dosing records, and maintenance now connect more consistently throughout Reef Trak. A single aquarium action should no longer appear as multiple separate activity entries. Equipment records can also connect more naturally with related maintenance tasks, making it easier to understand what equipment a reminder or service record belongs to. Syncing and reliability improvements Additional safeguards help prevent deleted tanks from unexpectedly returning during synchronization. We also improved first-launch performance, strengthened update reliability for existing users, corrected a photo-cropping layout issue, and improved TrakTone processing reliability. The public Reef Trak website has also been refreshed with a clearer homepage, improved readability, an expanded product story, and a new theme selector. Reef Trak 2.3.4 More Reliable Imports, Sync, Photos & TrakTone This update focuses on making Reef Trak faster, safer, and more dependable throughout the app. Improved ICP Imports ICP importing has received a major reliability upgrade. Reef Trak now does a better job identifying the correct laboratory and report format, rejecting incomplete or mismatched reports, preserving analysis dates, and preventing duplicate results when a report is imported again. Support has been expanded for additional report formats, including ATI ICP-MS, Triton PDFs, Modern Reef PDFs, and official Reef Labs Excel workbooks. Parsing has also been improved for Aquaforest, Reef Zlements, Fauna Marin, Moonshiner, and other supported laboratories. Additional trace elements, measurement units, and “not detected” results are now recognized more accurately. Better Backups and Sync Backup and restore operations are now safer and more reliable, with improved validation and recovery if a restore is interrupted or an invalid file is selected. Cloud synchronization has also been improved, including more dependable manual and automatic syncing, better account-switching protection, and more complete restoration of livestock, achievements, maintenance, and other tank information. TrakTone and Photo Improvements TrakTone photo and video capture is now more reliable, with faster previews, improved processing, better handling of camera permissions, and expanded video adjustment controls. Video export now includes improved color correction, denoise, structure, sharpening, progress reporting, cancellation, saving, and sharing. Photo handling throughout Reef Trak has also been optimized to improve loading speed and reliability with large or cloud-backed images. Maintenance and Equipment Quick Maintenance now saves more complete feeding, reactor, chemical-media, and temperature information while preventing accidental duplicate entries. Every equipment category now includes an option to add custom equipment directly. The Seachem Tidal 110 has also been added to the equipment catalog. ReefTrak 2.1.7 ReefTrak 2.1.7 is one of our biggest updates yet, focused on controller integrations, cleaner imports, better navigation, and a more polished experience across iOS, Android, and the WebPortal. Neptune Apex Fusion + HYDROS Support ReefTrak now supports cloud-based imports from Neptune Apex Fusion and HYDROS. You can connect your controller account, choose the correct controller or unit, map the probes or inputs you want ReefTrak to use, assign them to the right tank, and pull readings directly into your logs. Supported imports include readings like temperature, pH, ORP, and available Trident-style parameter data. This is a major step toward making ReefTrak a better home for all your reef data, whether it is entered manually, tracked through the app, viewed in the WebPortal, or imported from supported controllers. More controller integrations are already in progress. Controller Auto-Polling Neptune Apex Fusion and HYDROS can now auto-poll when ReefTrak is closed. If you opt in, ReefTrak securely stores encrypted controller credentials on the server and pulls your mapped controller readings about four times per day. Auto-polling is optional, can be turned off at any time, and uses the probe, input, and tank assignments you selected during controller setup. Smarter Controller Setup Controller setup and editing has been improved across iOS, Android, and the WebPortal. Apex and HYDROS assignments are now easier to review, adjust, reconnect, and manage. ReefTrak also does a better job remembering your selected units, probe mappings, input mappings, and tank assignments after app restarts. For reefers with multiple tanks, probes, or controller inputs, this should make setup feel much clearer. Cleaner Parameter Imports Controller imports now have stronger protection against duplicate or rapid repeated entries. App Polish and Navigation This release includes a lot of cleanup across the native apps. Headers are tighter and more consistent, ReefTrak logo/title spacing has been improved, hidden header actions were cleaned up, and the app now has a more unified feel across iOS and Android. The side menu has also been reorganized into clearer sections so common tools, help, updates, settings, and account features are easier to find without hiding anything. Better Dashboard Experience The Parameters dashboard received layout improvements, especially on Android. Controller cards are cleaner, vertical spacing has been improved, and connected controller information should be easier to scan at a glance. There is also new subtle underwater shimmer styling in parts of the app to give ReefTrak a little more reef-like motion without getting in the way. Reef Trak 2.1.5 This update adds some of the biggest quality-of-life improvements we have made yet. Feature Directory Reef Trak now has nearly 50 built-in features, and the new Feature Directory makes them much easier to find. Open the menu, tap Feature Directory, see what each feature does, and jump straight to it. It is a simple way to discover tools you may not even know were already in the app. Stability Trak Stability Trak is back, rebuilt, and much more useful. Each tank now shows a stability line so you can quickly see how steady your reef has been. Tap it for a deeper breakdown showing what is stable, what is drifting, and what may need attention. Since stability is one of the biggest keys to long-term reef success, this gives you a faster way to spot trends before they become problems. TrakAI Photo Export TrakAI now supports photos, making it much more powerful for real tank questions. Send a fish photo, coral photo, algae issue, sponge growth, or problem area along with your latest tank data to your favorite AI tool. Instead of asking a generic question, TrakAI now includes your recent parameters and the image together, giving the AI much better context to help you troubleshoot. New Shop Search Each tank now has a Shop option where you can search for equipment, dosing products, fish, coral, inverts, and more. Reef Trak will point you toward recommended stores for what you are looking for, making it easier to find reef gear and livestock without starting from scratch. TrakSitter Polish Vacation Mode, also called TrakSitter, continues to improve with better session handling, owner progress views, invites, reminders, and care-session polish. It is designed to make leaving your tank in someone else's hands a little less stressful. The headline is TrakSitter Vacation Mode. You can create a care session, invite a sitter by email, and give them a simple view of what needs to be done while you are away. Sitters can check off tasks, add notes, and log progress, while tank owners can follow completed tasks and notes in a protected read-only view without handing over full account control. Vacation Mode is built for the real reefkeeping worries around feeding, dosing, basic checks, instructions, and peace of mind. It now has cleaner entry points, its own icon, better activity tracking, and sitter controls that keep owner-only tools protected. This update also restores and cleans up email signup across mobile and web, improves account data, tank ownership, and sync reliability across devices, and continues the cleanup around backup, restore, measurements, reports, onboarding, and account restore flows. Livestock tracking also gets a strong pass. Fish, coral, and invert add flows have cleaner catalog handling, better selectors, expanded coral and invert data, more images, and alphabetized invert categories. On the web portal, the Global Reef Index now has improved community displays, charts, favorites, stats, and product panels. This release also adds groundwork for equipment and shop browsing, including better equipment catalog hooks, marketplace entry points, and web shop browsing. Reef Trak 2.1.3 is a major cleanup and reliability update across iOS, Android, and the web portal. A lot of this week's work came directly from real user friction, especially around temperature handling, measurement consistency, and the long-standing headaches caused by commas versus periods in parameter entry. This release puts a lot of focus on making those values behave correctly, display more consistently, and sync more cleanly across devices and regions. We also spent a lot of time tightening up sync itself. Deleted items are now handled more safely, records are less likely to come back after removal, and data should stay in step better across platforms. That same cleanup work also improved how tanks and related records are managed behind the scenes, which helps reduce some of the strange edge cases that can build up over time. Account reliability was another big focus this week. Sign-in, restore, reinstall, and account switching were all improved so premium access and account state behave more consistently. This was not about adding something flashy, it was about making sure the app holds together better during the moments where users notice problems most. Custom livestock also got a solid round of attention. We improved support for custom fish, corals, and inverts, cleaned up custom coral category behavior, and strengthened livestock photo history so records stay attached more reliably during sync and account changes. Measurements and older records also got cleanup work, including better handling for older data and Neptune-related parameter processing. On top of that, we improved equipment and catalog reliability, strengthened image and media handling, cleaned up startup behavior, and put in a broad round of backend and stability work across the app. So while 2.1.3 may not look like a giant feature release on the surface, it represents a huge amount of important work.
