ReefTrak 2.1.7 ReefTrak 2.1.7 is one of our biggest updates yet, focused on controller integrations, cleaner imports, better navigation, and a more polished experience across iOS, Android, and the WebPortal. Neptune Apex Fusion + HYDROS Support ReefTrak now supports cloud-based imports from Neptune Apex Fusion and HYDROS. You can connect your controller account, choose the correct controller or unit, map the probes or inputs you want ReefTrak to use, assign them to the right tank, and pull readings directly into your logs. Supported imports include readings like temperature, pH, ORP, and available Trident-style parameter data. This is a major step toward making ReefTrak a better home for all your reef data, whether it is entered manually, tracked through the app, viewed in the WebPortal, or imported from supported controllers. More controller integrations are already in progress. Controller Auto-Polling Neptune Apex Fusion and HYDROS can now auto-poll when ReefTrak is closed. If you opt in, ReefTrak securely stores encrypted controller credentials on the server and pulls your mapped controller readings about four times per day. Auto-polling is optional, can be turned off at any time, and uses the probe, input, and tank assignments you selected during controller setup. Smarter Controller Setup Controller setup and editing has been improved across iOS, Android, and the WebPortal. Apex and HYDROS assignments are now easier to review, adjust, reconnect, and manage. ReefTrak also does a better job remembering your selected units, probe mappings, input mappings, and tank assignments after app restarts. Cleaner Parameter Imports Controller imports now have stronger protection against duplicate or rapid repeated entries. Temperature, pH, ORP, and other mapped values now follow your selected controller assignments more reliably instead of relying on guesswork. App Polish and Navigation This release includes a lot of cleanup across the native apps. Headers are tighter and more consistent, ReefTrak logo/title spacing has been improved, hidden header actions were cleaned up, and the app now has a more unified feel across iOS and Android. The side menu has also been reorganized into clearer sections so common tools, help, updates, settings, and account features are easier to find without hiding anything. Better Dashboard Experience The Parameters dashboard received layout improvements, especially on Android. Controller cards are cleaner, vertical spacing has been improved, and connected controller information should be easier to scan at a glance. There is also new subtle underwater shimmer styling in parts of the app to give ReefTrak a little more reef-like motion without getting in the way. Sitters can check off tasks, add notes, and log progress, while tank owners can follow completed tasks and notes in a protected read-only view without handing over full account control. Vacation Mode is built for the real reefkeeping worries around feeding, dosing, basic checks, instructions, and peace of mind. It now has cleaner entry points, its own icon, better activity tracking, and sitter controls that keep owner-only tools protected. This update also restores and cleans up email signup across mobile and web, improves account data, tank ownership, and sync reliability across devices, and continues the cleanup around backup, restore, measurements, reports, onboarding, and account restore flows. Livestock tracking also gets a strong pass. Reef Trak 2.1.3 is a major cleanup and reliability update across iOS, Android, and the web portal. A lot of this week's work came directly from real user friction, especially around temperature handling, measurement consistency, and the long-standing headaches caused by commas versus periods in parameter entry. This release puts a lot of focus on making those values behave correctly, display more consistently, and sync more cleanly across devices and regions. We also spent a lot of time tightening up sync itself. Deleted items are now handled more safely, records are less likely to come back after removal, and data should stay in step better across platforms. That same cleanup work also improved how tanks and related records are managed behind the scenes, which helps reduce some of the strange edge cases that can build up over time. Account reliability was another big focus this week. Sign-in, restore, reinstall, and account switching were all improved so premium access and account state behave more consistently. This was not about adding something flashy, it was about making sure the app holds together better during the moments where users notice problems most. Custom livestock also got a solid round of attention. We improved support for custom fish, corals, and inverts, cleaned up custom coral category behavior, and strengthened livestock photo history so records stay attached more reliably during sync and account changes. Measurements and older records also got cleanup work, including better handling for older data and Neptune-related parameter processing. On top of that, we improved equipment and catalog reliability, strengthened image and media handling, cleaned up startup behavior, and put in a broad round of backend and stability work across the app. So while 2.1.3 may not look like a giant feature release on the surface, it represents a huge amount of important work. Equipment has officially arrived in Reef Trak. You can now add the hardware running on your tank, browse the shared equipment catalog, and keep a real record of pumps, lights, filtration, and other gear tied to each system. This release also introduces equipment ratings and reviews. You can rate items, leave written feedback, and help other reefers get a better read on what hardware is working in the real world. ICP importing continues to expand as well. Reef Trak now supports Triton web import and Tropic Marin import, making it faster to bring lab results into the app without typing in every value by hand. 2.1.1 also includes a big round of cleanup and stability work across iPhone and Android. Notifications were tightened up, sync became more reliable, startup got faster, and several frustrating issues around dosing, maintenance, equipment, and account recovery were fixed. Under the hood, we also laid the groundwork for a shared equipment catalog across mobile, the Web Portal, and Reef Dock. That foundation will make it much easier to keep the catalog growing and improving over time. Reef Trak 2.1.0 - Happy Birthday - 1 Year! Today is a big milestone for Reef Trak. It has now been 1 year on the iOS App Store, and Android is 5 months old today. Thank you to everyone who has downloaded the app, supported it, reported bugs, and helped shape where Reef Trak is going. This release focuses on polish, stability, and making Reef Trak easier to trust day to day. ICP comparison on iOS and Android One of the biggest additions in 2.1.0 is ICP comparison workflows on both iOS and Android. It is now much easier to compare ICP results against your own testing and better understand where your tank stands without jumping through hoops. Cleaner charts and stronger fish search Parameter charts were overhauled across platforms for a cleaner and more consistent experience, and fish search was improved with better species matching, better family matching, and clearer search context. More sources and deeper stability work Support was added for Fauna Marin Coral Dust and Hanna Calcium/Magnesium sources. This release also includes a number of under-the-hood fixes for mobile sync, persistence, recovery, and performance so the app feels more stable overall. A better fish catalog workflow Another important improvement is the fish catalog system. There is now a much better way to add, remove, and update fish, including a better way to fix or replace fish photos. A lot of the fish catalog was originally assembled by hand months ago, so some fish photos and entries may still not perfectly match between iOS and Android while that cleanup continues. Please report fish issues through the in-app support form To help fix that, please submit any fish errors, missing fish, wrong photos, typos, or watermarks you notice by using the in-app support form. Why the in-app support form helps You are always welcome to write directly, and those messages are read. But when something is wrong with the app, the in-app form helps much more because it sends detailed background information that makes issues easier to track down and fix. Even if it seems minor, like a typo or a fish entry, please try to use the form.
