Tired of your Dock jumping to the wrong screen? DockLock Lite prevents accidental Dock movement, keeping it exactly where you want it on multi-monitor setups.
When using multiple monitors, it's common to move your mouse around to locate the cursor. However, in the process, if the cursor reaches the bottom edge of an external display, macOS mistakenly triggers the Dock to move there, disrupting your workflow.
DockLock Lite eliminates this issue by keeping the Dock locked to your preferred display, ensuring a stable multi-monitor experience.
DockLock Lite is ideal if:
- You have at least two connected screens (including Sidecar iPad and DisplayLink setups).
- Your Dock is positioned at the bottom of the screen.
- macOS option "Displays have separate Spaces" is enabled.
- You're frustrated by your Dock moving unexpectedly between screens.
DockLock Lite Key Features:
- Hide the Dock during screen sharing or meetings in single and multi-screen setups (see FAQ on the official website).
- Keeps your Dock fixed on the monitor you choose.
- Define which monitors allow Dock movement.
- Hold a key to move the Dock temporarily.
- Enable or disable Dock locking quickly via the menu bar.
- Launches automatically upon system startup (requires macOS 12+).
- Discrete Operation: Optionally hide Dock and menu bar icons.
- The Dock will be relocated after sleep or startup to the first screen selected in "Allow Dock on Display".
- Family Sharing Support
Do NOT purchase DockLock Lite if:
- You only have one monitor and do not plan to use an additional display or Sidecar.
- Your Dock is positioned on the left or right side of your screen.
- macOS option "Displays have separate Spaces" is disabled.
Important Notes
- Requires at least two connected displays to function.
- Sidecar (iPad) and DisplayLink counts as an additional monitor - DockLock Lite will function correctly in this setup.
- Works only when the Dock is positioned at the bottom of the screen.
- Command+Tab switching remains tied to the Dock's location.
- macOS option "Displays have separate Spaces" must be enabled for full functionality.
- DockLock Lite can only lock the Dock to screens where macOS allows it to be moved manually.
- macOS only moves the Dock to a screen if at least a few pixels of its bottom edge don't overlap another screen.
- DockLock Lite is a one-time purchase app with no subscription fees.
- DockLock Lite and DockLock Lite have identical features; the difference is the payment model (one-time purchase vs. in-app purchases).

Works very well. Subscription pop-up is annoying.

I am using the free version of this app. It works flawlessly, but I’m annoyed by the subscription reminder that pops up every time I start the app (when I start up my Mac). I’m not going to pay an ongoing subscription just to keep my dock from moving, but I WOULD HAPPILY PAY A NOMINAL ONE-TIME FEE TO MAKE THE POP-UP GO AWAY. Just a suggestion. Thanks for keeping my dock anchored!
Works very welll

This is the one app online that solves this weird limitation on Mac that drives you crazy. Ever wonder why the dock jumps screens when you use multiple screens on Mac. Whenever you point with your mouse the bottom middle part of the dock, it moves the dock where you are. This is an app that locks your dock, and also works when locking unlocking your laptop (you’ll find another app online that copies this one but that doesn’t work when unlocking). The engineer behind the app is super responsive in case of bugs!
Not a lite version at all!
RadianWear
This is not a lite version of the app, it is just a 7 day trial. The most basic function of locking your dock does not even work in the lite version after the 7 days expires.EDIT: Response to the developer. I am not penalizing it for no reason or to be a Jerk. You call it a lite version which implies REDUCED functionality or basic functionality. The core point of this product is to LOCK THE DOCK. Removing that just makes it a useless product. Why don't you consider removing advanced features like auto start with the OS or starting on a prefered screen etc. Otherwise just call this what it is "DockLock Trial Version". I didn't nug the pro version, I rated this version for what it was, a trial and not a lite version.
Developer Response
Thank you for your feedback and for using DockLock Lite. In version 1.4.4 I have brought back a free mode, so after the 7 day trial ends the core Dock locking functionality continues to work for free, while advanced features require a license. I hope this update better matches what you expect from a lite version and makes the app more useful for you.
Works perfectly as described

I was searching for something like this for a long time hoping every year Apple would provide this feature out of the box in the new OS but I was disappointed. Until I found this. No more annoying unintended dock appearances on other screens. My favorite part is once you hide the menu bar icon and remove icon from dock, and enable at startup, you simply would never know if something like this exists. Works like a charm
Stability improvements on wake-up and screen change.
