Main Story:
At the new Mihama Academy, elite students hone their unusual skills—sometimes on the job. Rena “The Rabid Dog,” a gunslinger; Tohka, a sniper; Chris, a demolitions expert; Murasaki, a spy; and their handler Haruto form SORD: Social Ops, Research & Development.
Mihama now entrusts these so-called misfit girls with live weapons, sending them on missions no one else dares to take. Safety is never guaranteed, as they plunge headfirst into high-risk, extrajudicial operations—fighting for their country, their futures, and each other.

In Vol. 6, we take a journey with Haruto, a handler at Mihama Academy, Sengoku Ichiru, Ukawa Chihiro, and the other members of the first generation of Phantom Triggers go to visit the grave of one of their old friends, located deep in the mountains.
There sleeps Haruto's master - Aoi.
The group makes this journey every year, and their car is filled with playful banter at first. But as they approach their destination, they're overcome by silence and regret, as the memories of the life of Aoi - a young woman so vicious, and yet so pure - return once more.
Life is passed from one generation to the next.
