Humidity Window is a free digital hygrometer that helps you track outdoor humidity and find the best time to ventilate your home. By lowering your indoor humidity at the right moments, you can prevent mold growth and improve your overall indoor air quality. Whether you’re concerned about dampness, stuffy air, or window condensation, this app gives you the insights you need to keep your living space comfortable and healthy.
Features:
- Humidity Metrics (Relative & Absolute): See the outdoor relative humidity percentage and calculate the absolute humidity for your home, so you know how much moisture is in the air.
- Dew Point Comfort Bar: View the current dew point and see exactly where it falls on a visual comfort bar, from 'Pleasant/Dry' to 'Miserable.'
- Ventilation Advice: Get personalized tips on when to open your windows. The app suggests optimal times for ventilation to help you reduce indoor humidity and avoid mold risk.
- Detailed Weather: Track more than just moisture. See the current wind speed, wind direction, "feels like" temperature, and barometric pressure (including rising or falling trends).
- Home Widget: Add the humidity widget to your Home Screen for instant updates. Monitor humidity and ventilation tips at a glance without opening the app.
- Lightweight & Private: This app is under 2 MB and does not collect any personal data. It’s fast, privacy-friendly, and ad-free, so you can use it anytime and anywhere.
- Air Quality Integration
With Humidity Window, you no longer have to guess when it’s safe to air out your rooms – you’ll know. Protect your home from mold!

My only nitpick is that the optimal ventilation window section at the top uses the lowest daily outdoor relative humidity rather than lowest daily outdoor absolute humidity to tell you when to open your window. This usually results in it telling me to open my window during the hottest hours of the day when the RH is lowest, but the AH may still be higher than other times. The humidity calculator section at the bottom works exactly how I’d want: comparing the outdoor AH to the indoor AH to determine whether you can open the window. I think the humidity window section should highlight the hours in the day with the lowest AH as the most likely opportunities to open the windows.
An actually great app!

I have been doing manual checks/calculations for years to try to figure out the best time to do an outdoor fresh air exchange without bringing the stifling humidity of NC inside. This simple app makes that super easy and I only wish I knew about it sooner. I discovered this app accidentally when looking for a Home Screen widget that would display the outdoor humidity, which it does! This is officially one of my favorite apps of all time and I will be recommending it to friends/family/anyone who cares about indoor air quality. Thank you to the developer for creating this app!!!
Thanks

Must have for humid Florida.
In this update, we’ve added a brand new widget featuring an illustration of a house and the weather outside, supporting both day and night themes.
