Search Everything finds any file on your Mac the moment you type, however many you have.
Narrow it down by kind, size or date, or match names with wildcards and regular expressions.
The app features:
• Instant Results
The entire index is searched as you type, so matches appear at once instead of after a spinner.
• Filters
Show only images, folders, videos or documents, files over or under a size, or files changed today, this week or on a certain date. Type kind:images, size:>500mb or modified:week, or pick a filter from the suggestions as you type.
• Wildcards and Regular Expressions
Match whole names with *.mov or IMG_????.jpg, or go further with a regular expression such as regex:IMG_\d{4}.
• Names and Paths
Look for a file by name, or narrow it down by where it lives. Searching for Documents/Invoices finds everything below that folder.
• Multiple Search Terms
Add as many terms and filters as you like, and only the files matching all of them remain.
• Saved Searches
Keep the searches you run often in their own menu and run any of them again with one click.
• Act on What You Find
Open a file, open it with another app, copy its path, reveal it in the Finder, open it in Terminal or move it to the Trash. Move or copy several results into a folder at once, export them as a CSV file for Numbers or Excel, or drag them straight into the Finder or another app.
• List or Grid
Read the details in a sortable list of name, path, size and date, or switch to icons and scale them to whatever size suits you.
• Live Updates
Everything is indexed when the app starts, and changes on disk are picked up automatically from then on, so results are never stale.
• External Volumes
Files and folders on connected drives are found too. Each drive is indexed as it is connected, and the whole option can be turned off.
• Out of the Way
Run it as an ordinary window or from the menu bar, and let it start with your Mac so the index is ready when you are.
• You Decide What Is Indexed
Choose the folder to index, and whether hidden files, the contents of packages and folders themselves belong in it.
• Built-in Help
Every filter and pattern is explained in the app, with examples.

Almost Everything
Baswein
I miss the windows void tools everything app and this is pretty close to working like it. Once indexed the search is very fast. It will index my Google Drive folder (takes a couple of hours) but I can’t have both my computer and the drive searchable at the same time as far as I can tell. Would like an interface for included folders. I haven’t used it enough to know if I can trust its index.
Good tool, limited functionality

The tool works well. I wanted to find a replica of the app “Everything” when I moved from PC to Mac. What stops it from becoming a great tool is 1) the option to drag and drop is missing. I was able to drag and drop directly from everything to anywhere on my Windows PC and wanted a similar functionality here, which is missing2) There is no option to copy or move the file. Basically the functionalities that I get upon right click or double click is extremely limited within the app. Add these two features and I’d love to change the rating to 5.

Thanks again for the detailed feedback. Version 4.0 is now available and adds both: you can drag results straight out of the list into Finder and other apps, and the right-click menu now has "Copy To…" and "Move To…" for one or several selected results. I hope it is now the tool you were looking for.
