more Bug fixes: prevents a rare crash when reopening the app with a
Live Activity still running.
1.15.1 3d ago
Sign in with Google
Now you can sign in with Google alongside Apple. Same account, same data — plus groundwork for the Android app coming later.
Set the expectations
Onboarding now explains what your first session will look like BEFORE you start. Calibration is reframed as an honest measurement (zero reps is a valid answer). The Next Workout card shows exactly where you are in your rotation.
Cleaner Skill Focus tab
Focus family pages now lead with the day list; a compact roadmap card sits under it and taps into the full progression.
Small fixes
Onboarding "Go to Home" button now shows a spinner while your plan is set up (no more tap-spam). Account switches now correctly clear stale preferences.
1.15.0 4d ago
Coach now shows how your form has trended over time. A new Progress section on the Coach tab renders per-angle direction, first-to-latest degree change, and personal-best across 7d / 30d / 90d / All windows — so you can see at a glance whether your shoulder stack is actually opening up.
Bug fix: calibration programs now accept a 0-rep result honestly. Trying a Pull-Up Calibration and can't do a single rep? Log 0, move on. The backend records your honest current max instead of leaving you stuck.
Small polish: Account tab picks up a tidier "Contact & support" section with Follow @zenmotion_app, Rate ZenMotion, and Email support. And after 3 completed workouts, iOS may show a review dialog (once).

Handstand Coach — new tab, new tool.
Film your handstand from the side, and Coach analyzes five form angles: shoulder stack, hip line, spine, elbow lockout, and head position. All processing happens on-device using Apple's Vision framework — your video stays on your phone, only the measurements are saved.
BETA — free for everyone while we tune it. Works on Wall Handstand, Chest-to-Wall, and Freestanding variants. Analyze from the Coach tab, or mid-workout from any handstand exercise.
Export an annotated video with the pose overlay burned in — nice for sharing progress.
Small polish: BETA badge across all Coach surfaces so you know what's still tuning.

Small polish patch on top of v1.13.
Fixed a widget cycle-day counter that could show "DAY 6 OF 5" on the final day of a rotation — now reads correctly all the way through the split.
Cleaned up the Profile view — the long list of movement maxes moved to the Stats tab where it belongs alongside your Athlete Profile. Profile stays focused on the settings and preferences you actually change.
Groundwork for the next round of features going in behind the scenes.
1.13.1 Jul 22
Rhythm you didn't know you had.
Small and Large widget sizes join Medium. Sunday-evening weekly rollup push. Rest days framed as intentional recovery instead of empty state.
Skill Practice days now serve a three-slot descending pyramid — peak → light band → heavy band — across all 11 skill families. Legs day no longer CNS-fries you with peak skill work before the actual legs.
New "Build strength first, pick later" onboarding path — routes uncertain users to Strength Calibration as their first workout.

1.13.0 Jul 19
Meet your athlete.
NEW — Athlete Profile
See who you are as a calisthenics athlete on the Stats tab. An archetype title composed from your dominant training pattern ("The Puller · Lever Specialist", "The Presser · Straight-Arm Specialist", "The Generalist"), six tiers per family and per skill, and a balance indicator — all derived live from your rungs. No self-assessment picker; the mirror updates as you train.
NEW — Home-screen widget
Add "Next workout" to your home screen. Medium tile shows your next skill day, current rung, streak, and duration estimate. Three states: Ready (tap to start), Continue session (tap to resume), Rest day (framed as intentional recovery). Refreshes automatically after each workout.
FIXED — History detail crash on Foundations and skill splits
Some users saw "Something went wrong!" when tapping Foundations or handstand sessions in History. Fixed. All your old rung-based runs are visible again.
IMPROVED — Skill session accessory prescription
Push/pull/core/hinge accessories on skill days are now capped at meaningful-but-sustainable rungs (Diamond Push-Up, Archer Pull-Up, etc.) so advanced trainers don't get max-effort accessory work sabotaging the main skill session. Beginners unaffected.
IMPROVED — Press to Handstand ladder reordered
Mobility → eccentric → assisted → unassisted, matching how the movement is actually taught. If you'd calibrated already, that resets on this deploy so you recalibrate cleanly.
IMPROVED — Better error visibility
API decode failures and server errors now surface to error tracking with full context (endpoint, status, expected type). Firebase Crashlytics runs alongside Sentry for native crash redundancy.
Requires iOS 17+.

1.12.0 Jul 19
One skill, one story.
Stats-tab skill progress now reads from the same rung model as Programs — no more mismatched numbers between tabs. Sorted by how high you've climbed, showing every skill you've calibrated.
Plus:
- Continue-workout banner no longer haunts you after Save
- Calibration programs now warm you up first (33 new warmup rows)
- Retired the misleading experience level picker in Profile — level is derived from your rungs now
- Fixed a crash when tapping longer skill roadmaps from Stats
Train well.
1.11.0 Jul 17
See what you're building toward.
Home now names the exact rung today's session is building toward. One line under the recommended workout — plain-spoken, exactly the milestone you're nudging closer to.
44 new band-assisted rungs across planche, front lever, back lever, and elbow planche. Heavy Assist and Light Assist tiers on every lever progression. Because a clean 12-second band-assisted hold beats a 2-second wobbly unassisted attempt for real motor learning.
Plus: your explicit split choice now wins over auto-picked recommendations, and a bug fix so you can't accidentally start a new workout with another one still running.
Train well.
1.10.0 Jul 16
Every skill, adaptive.
All 11 Skill Focus Splits — muscle-up, planche, front lever, back lever, handstand, press to handstand, elbow planche, human flag, Hefesto, one-arm pull-up, V-sit/Manna — now run on the adaptive rung engine. Every session resolves to your actual rung; crush two clean sessions in a row and next session bumps up.
10 dedicated skill calibrations redesigned with 3-4 unique tests each — measuring strength, mobility, grip and load separately. The app now knows *why* you're at your current tier, not just that you are.
Also fixed: duplicate-slot bug on Skill Practice days, onboarding jump-ahead now reads all skill calibration signals.
1.9.0 Jul 14
Save works on the first tap now.
- Fixed a sticky-sheet race in the end-of-workout Save flow that occasionally required a second tap and quietly wrote a duplicate run to your history. Tap Save → land on Home in one motion → toast confirms once the backend has processed.
- The mini-player pill above the tab bar no longer lingers on Home for a few seconds after saving. It clears at the same moment the workout closes.
- Handstand Focus Split days now include dedicated wrist and shoulder warmups (wrist circles, wrist push-up prep, shoulder pass-throughs, scapular shrugs) so cold joints don't hit an inverted hold.
- Foundation work for adaptive Handstand practice — behind the scenes, the 5-day split now runs through the same rung engine as Foundations, so difficulty scales with your actual progress instead of a hardcoded catalog.
Bug reports welcome at support@zenmotion.app.
1.8.1 Jul 13
Your skill mission.
Pick the skill you're actually training for — Planche, Muscle-Up, Handstand, Front Lever, or one of eight others — right in onboarding. Every skill now has a personal roadmap: a rung-by-rung ladder from where you are today to the goal.
Home is finally skill-aware. If your calibration says you're ready for the Focus Split, that's what you get. If you're not there yet, Home recommends the on-ramp strength training that builds toward it — still tuned to bias accessory work toward your picked skill.
Also in v1.8.0:
· Programs tab cards redesigned to match the Stats language
· Achievement-unlock sheet layout fixed
· Home refreshes after workout completion
· Archer achievement false-unlock fixed
Train toward what you actually want.
1.8.0 Jul 11
v1.7.6 — Your split. Your rounds.
• Pin which day of your Skill Focus Split runs next. Open your Focus Split, tap the "•" toggle on the day-row you want as active. Home's NextWorkoutCard instantly points there. Undo by tapping the pin again.
• Home now understands Focus Splits properly. If you have a 5-day Focus running, Home cycles through your split's actual days instead of falling back to the strength-split rotation.
• Bonus rounds in circuits. Finished all prescribed rounds of a push/pull/leg circuit but still have gas? Tap "+ Add round" at the bottom of the circuit view. A fresh round appears with your best-round targets prefilled. Auto-progression skips bonus rounds, so tomorrow's target stays honest.
• 448 movements linked to their next variant. Up from 293 last release. Squat, dip, plank, hang, and row families all covered better. If you're grinding 20 clean reps and there's a natural harder progression, the workout summary now surfaces it.
1.7.6 Jul 6
• Skill Focus Splits get 4-week mesocycles. If you've committed to a skill (muscle-up, planche, front lever, etc.), your training now flows through Intro → Build → Peak → Deload weeks. A small pill on Home tells you which week you're in. Week 4 actually softens targets by 20%.
• Tell the app how a set felt. After each non-weighted exercise in the workout summary, tap (easy), (hard but good), or (max effort). Tapping freezes the auto-bump — the app won't ask for more next session. Optional; skip it and nothing changes.
• The 20-rep ceiling. If you're hitting 20 clean push-ups every session, "add a rep" stops being strength progression. Rep targets now stop at 20 (holds at 90 seconds), then the app surfaces a graduation suggestion — "Try Diamond Push-Ups". 293 movements linked to their next variant.
• Calibration nudge reads your training volume. Now fires when you cross 30 sessions OR 90 days since your last calibration, whichever comes first. Heavy trainees see "You've completed 30 sessions"; occasional trainees see "It's been 3 months". Copy auto-picks whichever framing reads honest.
• Onboarding remembers what you've proved. Returning users going through the diagnostic — or hitting Recalibrate — now get their Foundations rungs promoted based on UserMax history. Logged 6 floor push-ups last month? You skip the Knee Push-up rung straight to Floor Push-up. Never demotes.
• Deload weeks no longer break streaks. Latent bug from v1.7.3: hitting the ×0.8-scaled deload target was silently resetting the clean-completion streak. Now bumps skip entirely during any scaling week — streaks stand still, no accidental resets.
1.7.5 Jul 5
v1.7.4 — See more. Lose less.
Home shows your progression per movement family now — "Wall Push-up → next: Counter-top Push-up, rung 1 of 7". Every program card gets a duration estimate ("~35 min") so you can pick based on time. Warm-up cards get an info icon. Achievements celebrate one at a time instead of hiding behind "+ 2 more". Typed reps don't get lost when you tap Next exercise. Deload signal moved to a slim pill inside the workout card.
1.7.4 Jul 5
v1.7.3 — Not every week is a push week.
- Deload weeks: every 4th week, targets soften 20% so your body consolidates the gains you actually made. Push less, sleep more, come back stronger.
- Easing back in: if you've been away 7+ days, first session back gets softer targets automatically. Welcome back, no pressure.
- Fixed a nasty workout-save bug that affected users with older accounts.
- Apple Health permission prompt now appears at a calmer moment. Focus picker clearer about "one focus at a time".
1.7.3 Jul 4
v1.7.2 — Your plan, not someone else's.
- Foundations: a 10-week adaptive cycle for total beginners. 3 short sessions a week. Push, pull, squat, hinge and core each climb their own ladder — the app adapts as you crush each step.
- Tier-aware onboarding that respects what you already train. Returning users get the diagnostic pre-filled from their history.
1.7.2 Jun 26
- Active workout now lives in a sheet — minimise mid-rest to browse
Stats, Programs, or Profile without ending the session
- 34 new achievements (catalogue: 56). Full ladders for Pull-Up,
Push-Up, and Dips; plus Tuck/Full Planche, Front & Back Lever,
V-Sit, Dragon Flag, Press to Handstand, and more
- Trophies on Home, Stats, and Profile — no more digging
- Hold timers get a pre-roll countdown (Off / 3s / 5s / 10s)
- Live Activity shows the actual prescription on the lock screen
- Polished workout toolbar, font sizing, and inline discard confirm
1.7.1 Jun 16
NEW
- 11 Skill Focus Splits — 5-day rotations for every advanced skill (Handstand, Planche, Front Lever, Back Lever, Muscle-Up, Hefesto, Human Flag, OAPU, V-Sit & more)
- 22 shareable achievements with one-tap Instagram Stories
- Set as Focus — your strength split adapts to the skill you're chasing, with variant tiers from beginner to elite
ALSO
- Per-skill calibration tests (Handstand, Back Lever, Front Lever, Planche)
- Smarter auto-progression with graduation thresholds and jump-on-crush
- Cleaner Programs tab — long rotations collapse into family cards
1.7.0 Jun 10
Runs with signal.
The Runs list is rebuilt — denser cards with duration, PRs and volume; new filter chips for Strength / Skill / Calibration; partial runs dim and tag "ended early".
Open a run and you get a session summary at the top, plus PR / Goal / Partial / Baseline tags on every exercise. Bumped rep targets now follow you across every program that uses the same movement.
Achievements got a complete rewrite. 22 milestones to chase — first pull-up, 10 push-ups, 7-day streak, first muscle-up. Old workouts retroactively unlock everything you've already earned. Every win is now shareable as a branded image, with one tap to Instagram Stories. Open the tab and see how far you've come.
v1.6.5 Jun 9
Stats with shape.
History becomes Stats — a redesigned tab that gives your training a visible form.
- Consistency heatmap: 12 weeks of training at a glance, color-graded by how hard the week was
- Recent PRs: newest personal bests across every movement, one row per lift
- Per-exercise drilldown: tap any past exercise to open a chart of your progression, with PR markers
- 30-day Compare: workouts, volume and average session length vs. the prior 30 days (unlocks at 60 days of training)
- "Calibrate a skill" now opens the calibration test in one tap
Behind the scenes: a Movement table that makes per-exercise history durable across catalog rebuilds and custom programs. Your Decline DB Bench sessions are now genuinely "all of them" — no matter which program prescribed them.
Email me directly if you spot anything off — support@zenmotion.app.
v1.6.4 Jun 4
- Redesigned Home — tighter stack with stats pills, a smart "Next workout" CTA, weekly goal strip, and a "More" list of light shortcuts. Paused workouts now sit at the top so you can't miss them.
- Programs tab filters — Recent (default), Mine, Split, Skill, Foundation, Test, All. Find what you trained recently in one tap instead of scrolling the whole catalog.
- Welcome screen for new users — first-time Home is a soft hero + three starter programs (calibration, strength split day, beginner skill). No empty 0/0/0 dashboard.
- Custom programs respect your intent — auto-progression no longer bumps reps or pre-fills weight on programs you authored. Your numbers stay your numbers.
- Smaller fixes — Continue banner hidden when nothing's been logged, avatar badge opens Account, onboarding correctly re-triggers after a delete-app + reinstall.
v1.6.3 Jun 2
Your workout and the app bumps next session's targets, visible right above the set rows. Supersets and circuits now have proper rest behaviour (chained vs timed between exercises). Trend stats rewritten so they reflect real progress — every rep counts, "vs best" shows the heaviest weight you've ever lifted. Plus a new abs circuit on Push & Skill and a polish pass on the active-workout flow.
1.6.2 May 31
Your baseline, tracked.
- Strength Calibration — a 7-movement max test that becomes your baseline
- Strength Profile in the Profile tab — current bests + tap-through history chart
- "Time for a fresh test" nudge on Home when it's been a while
- Recommended-prerequisite hints on skill programs (Planche, Front Lever, etc)
- Workout summary now suggests when you're ready to graduate to the next level
1.6.1 May 30
A new workout summary at the end of every session — exercise breakdown,
progression vs last run, and Save/Continue/Discard. Plus keyboard-free
logging via stepper and hold-timer.
1.6.0 May 27
Bug fixes: prevents a rare crash when reopening the app with a
Live Activity still running.
