I find the game to be just like the old ones for the most part. The only thing is I guess in the past when you could use the keyboard and you could multitask different spells simultaneously, and using the mouse was much easier than using a touchscreen. I was kinda hoping that it would somehow incorporate a controller feature. The only thing I dislike is if you die out of all the choices you can’t just quit or you start off in town again without having a portal to get to the dungeon, you died from. That’s a little tedious. I know I was one of those that never used portals in the past on the PC because I would just type what level I wanted to get to.But I’m still having fun thanks for bringing it to my portable devices.

There’s a few bugs here and there. Saves deleting randomly and having to reload the app a couple times. My set name got erased and is my renown rank. When fishing if I click cast right after reeling in, the spell animation plays. Sometimes enemies do nothing and even glide with no running animation. Impossible dungeon generation (closed off areas) which is fixed by going a couple levels away and back. If I go to the first level (after traveling to town from a higher one) the quests given are on the lower levels. I can’t use the town portal scroll/book or identify in my pets inventory. You cannot cancel a fetch quest if the item is in your possession, throw it on the ground first. There’s also weird hit boxes with breakable objects breaking far out of reach when breaking/attacking something else. In the app settings I don’t see anything related to iCloud so idk how a fix would be done there regarding saves. These are bugs from the first game I’m not sure about the later titles. Most things have a work around and the controls are pretty good. It’s functional and can run 60fps too but needs a lot more fine tuning. I wish fishing wasn’t so nerfed. Hopefully this isn’t a cash grab and devs clean things up. I don’t use controllers but there’s no support for it btw

Hi there! First off this game has been with me to adulthood, I loved playing this series & it’s been a journey, I was ecstatic when it finally dropped on Xbox & now mobile. A true blessing. However, there are some concerns with gaming on mobile as I also play on my iPad. First, I SOOOO wish the game had an offline mode. Sometimes the internet isn’t stable & causes crashing/saving issues. My iPad is updated to the latest version, & the iPad itself is a 9th generation, still works like a charm. As of posting this review I have ONLY played the first game, not the rest as a test. Also loved the fact of preordering helped save some moolah. I HAVE NOT played the game on my updated iPhone 14, so I will test that out next. There are some frame rate issues, as I have tweaked the settings to have a smoother gameplay. Other than that, I haven’t had any other problems. I hate to rate this a 3 star for now, but once some things update & with seeing improvements I look forward & hope it encourages the team to improve this amazing series. Thank you all, godbless!🙏🏻💝

Honestly I can’t find much wrong with the mobile version of this game. I loved this game when I was a kid. Played it with my grandma a lot. New graphics look good on my iPhone screen. My only tidbits are no quick select option for potions and stuff? Maybe I just haven’t set the controls up right. And where’s all the blood!? I remember when I was 8 playing this game I thought it was so cool how BLOODY the fights were, but that seems to be missing here. It’s a small thing but also a disappointing thing for me. Again, maybe I need to dig through some settings. But I’m loving playing this game in bed it’s a super nostalgia trip. Only bought the first one, but I’ll probably end up getting the others assuming I don’t experience any of the save glitches some people are reporting. Also, my 16 Pro Max on iOS 26 beta gets super hot playing this game.
