Story
----------------------------------
Some decades ago now, there sat a small, unassuming ramen shop in a tiny town in Japan.
It seemed like it had been there forever, but its origins are quite peculiar, indeed.
Much abbreviated, this is how it goes...
A stubborn old man who—to hear the townsfolk tell it—never cracked a smile married the nicest, most amiable woman you could ever hope to meet, and together they opened a restaurant. The two made a formidable team; their eatery soon became a fixture in town, and seemed destined to become an institution. That is, until the old man turned to his wife one day and said...
Y'know, I've been thinkin'...
Such was the beginning of his pitch to turn their humble establishment into a ramen shop.
His wife was taken aback, but after a moment's pause, merely smiled back at him.
What a lovely idea. I'll help however I can.
For you see, they'd always shared a quiet regret between them. One rarely spoken, but ever-present—a knot in their shoulders they could never massage away.
An unfulfilled promise.
A dream deferred.
This is the story of their reinvention.

Do you desperately want to feel something?
Are you feeling a bit hungry right now?
Were you born anytime before 1989, also known as the Showa Era?
If you shouted "Yes!" at your device to any of the above, first of all we hope your voice assistant wasn't listening. Second, download this game and give it a try! It's free, from start to finish!
I love all of these games, but I especially loved the addition of the ramen mechanic! It never felt too difficult because I knew if I just kept cooking and discovering ingredients I would get what was needed. If anyone is stuck, though, I recommend just continuing to play, level up dishes and finish each customer’s story! If you do that, you’ll unlock more recipes and ingredients. It might take a little time but it’s worth it. The story is so beautiful in this one, just like the rest. I was nearly in tears at the ending ♥️ I’m definitely going to replay some of the other games now but I hope to see more with the Ramen cooking mechanic (or other iterations of it!) in the future if they keep making more!
Chinese or Japanese

As a long time enjoyer of the Hungry Hearts series, I’m deeply disappointed by this installment. I was deterred from trying this game for months partially due to my busy schedule and the one bad review that said the ramen making system was difficult without a guide. Just yesterday I finally decided to give the game a try as my schedule finally cleared up a bit and now I really wish I hadn’t. It seemed like the typical hungry hearts game format wise, and it wasn’t until a few hours in that I started noticing all the Chinese recipes in the book and how occasionally some characters would refer to the restaurant as a “Chinese” restaurant, even when it’s clear the setting is Japan and the elderly owners are also Japanese. If you’re going to add Chinese recipes to inflate your recipebook then at least say that the food’s origin is Chinese in the description of the food (some were labeled, most not). If you wanted to incorporate Chinese dishes, why not make the restaurant and the setting Chinese too? As someone that’s Chinese, I’m just disappointed after having played and enjoyed so many of your games.
Love this game, AND this developer team!

I am such a huge fan of any game that Gagex puts out, and this one is no exception ❤️ for y’all who are frustrated over the lack of ramen ingredients, be patient! They ALL unlock in time - requests, ingredients, and all. Enjoy it - there’s no penalty for turning down requests, nor any time restraints on fulfilling orders, which is so rare. I never hesitate to spend money on these - completely optional of course, and does not take away from the experience, but I definitely don’t mind supporting the developers. I can’t wait for what Gagex comes up with next!
Calming restaurant sim with good characters, art, and food!
Miircha
I’ve played many restaurant sims, but have rarely enjoyed one as much as this one. The gameplay is calming and you don’t feel rushed, and the art style is very cute. The storylines and characters are interesting and feel like people, albeit ones with suitable amounts of drama. And now I have approximately 70 Chinese and Japanese dishes to try! Good chill game for a few minute stress breaks
Fixed some bugs.
