RM2000 Tape Recorder is for those who can hear inspiration from anywhere. Built for macOS, it records the system audio and lets you tag individual audio files. These files can then be used from anywhere - no matter which DAW you use.
No complicated audio routing. Minimal setup. Just the sound, saved and tagged.
STORAGE
Every sample you record with RM2000 Tape Recorder contains metadata about the sample - the title you gave and the tags you selected for it. This information is not locked down from the app, as the filenames ARE the metadata! Samples recorded with RM2000 Tape Recorder can be used from anywhere and shared freely.

1. Fixed an issue in macOS 26.3 where the "Edit Sample" sheet wouldn't ask for confirmation before discarding the Sample
2. Fixed an issue where the directory chooser in the Settings window would not fit the view
3. Changing the directory while the app is open will now fully refresh the Sample Library window
