Chart based forecasts are advantageous when you want to know not just if a weather event will happen on a given day, but when that event will start and stop. Using charts also allows you to know more at from a quick glance (temperature, wind, sun, clouds, rain, snow, and the timing of the weather).

We think everyone can benefit from seeing weather data in this format, but it’s especially useful to boaters, sailors, hikers, and adventurers who navigate by understanding weather trends.

We take privacy very seriously and have implemented the most stringent privacy policy possible. We use no third-party analytics, no ads, no trackers, and we only use your location when you specifically ask us to.

• Fine-tune any forecast location using a map—including remote spots like mountain summits, wilderness areas, and offshore locations.
• Charts powered by WeatherKit showing temperature, cloud cover, rain, snow, storm probabilities, and wind speeds. In the US, WeahterKit uses models and data from NOAA and NWS.
• View precipitation amounts for the past 12–48 hours, and see expected rainfall from upcoming storms.
• View up to 48 hours of past weather history alongside forecasts to spot trends. We believe its always useful to see both forecasts and observations.
• Home Screen widget and Apple Watch app are available for quick, glanceable access to forecasts.
• Forecasts are available offline - you can download a forecast before your adventure and see it while you're off the grid.
• Share forecast charts with friends and export to CSV format to support your professional workflow.

I was hesitant to download Weathercaster, as looking at the screenshots made me think it would be a little confusing with the way it presents data and the charts it utilizes to do so. I was wrong! In reality, the charts, and everything else, are very easy to read and use. Plus, the app looks amazing on both iOS and macOS—I don’t have an iPad, but it most likely looks equally amazing on it.But how accurate are the weather reports it generates? That’s most important. Weathercaster uses Apple’s WeatherKit API to draw its data from. However, I get much more accurate predictions from it than from Apple’s weather app and others I’ve been testing alongside it that use the same API.In resuming, Weathercaster is a great weather app with a beautiful user interface and charts that are easy to read and a joy to use. Highly recommended.

While some offer eye candy but are light on actual content, and others overwhelm you with a tsunami of data, Weathercaster strikes the perfect balance. I love being able to see forecasts for all the places I care about, all in one screen without requiring any interaction. And that, if I want more detail, I can delve in and get hourly metrics on everything, including wind direction.This is a brand new app, and I’m sure it’ll only getter better over time. I’m looking forward to seeing it evolve. Given the choices the designers made in v1, I think it’s headed in the right direction.

This is by far the most accurate and worthwhile weather app. I never really realized how much I talk about the weather, both professionally and personally, but ever since I got this app I’m now the go-to weather guy. This app beats out all the other ones I’ve tried and is absolutely worth the subscription. Do yourself a favor: download and subscribe to this app and never get caught off guard by the weather again. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

If you tap the calendar icon when viewing a weather location, it will take you to the new app and automatically import the location and time range. From there you can track the forecast and be notified if there are significant changes.
