Recipe One is honestly the easiest way I’ve found to save recipes from anywhere and actually use them without all the annoying ads and clutter.

On its way to being an amazing app!

The UI could be a bit more streamlined but scanning feature for cookbooks is superior to other apps that offer the same thing. Automatic tagging is also incredibly helpful! My only request is the ability to edit the recipes I scan such as correcting a spelling error for a Middle Eastern dish or changing the photo.Importing via URL either through the browser shortcut or copying/pasting lacks actual usability. I attempted to import two different recipes and it went through the process of analyzing them and parsing them but did not actually save anything. I think once the kinks are ironed out and the import is fixed, it will be on its way to being nearly perfect enough for me to switch from Paprika.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review and for highlighting what you liked! 😊I’ve recently added recipe editing (so you can fix titles, photos, etc.) and improved the recipe import feature - it should now save correctly when importing from URLs. I’m also working on streamlining the UI based on feedback like yours. If you still run into any issues or have more suggestions, please reach out to support@recipeone.app - I personally reply to every message.I’d love for you to give the latest version a try and see if it feels 5-star ready now!
Great… Until it Wasnt

I purchased this app about three months ago, and initially, I absolutely loved it! It was everything I had hoped for in a recipe organizer. I imported hundreds of recipes from various websites, added many of my own family favorites, and finally had everything beautifully organized in one convenient place. The feature that kept my iPhone screen on while cooking was especially helpful. For a while, I was in recipe heaven!Unfortunately, that honeymoon came to an abrupt end about a month ago.For reasons I cannot explain, the app began displaying a huge white box that obscures nearly 80% of the recipe on my screen. Imagine being halfway through preparing dinner, only to have your ingredients and cooking instructions suddenly disappear behind a giant white rectangle! Frustrating doesn’t begin to describe it.Even worse, closing and restarting the app doesn’t solve the problem. The only solution I’ve found is to completely reboot my iPhone. Not exactly convenient when you’re standing in the kitchen with flour on your hands and dinner on the stove!I contacted the developer hoping for a solution, but so far, I’ve received no response, and the problem remains unresolved. What makes this especially disappointing is that this really was an outstanding app when it worked. I invested considerable time building my recipe collection and genuinely believed I had finally found the perfect recipe organizer.Unfortunately, once you’ve paid for the app, getting your money back doesn’t appear to be an option. You can cancel future charges, but that doesn’t fix the software you’ve already purchased. My recommendation? Proceed with caution. This app has tremendous potential, but until the developer addresses this frustrating issue and improves customer support, I simply cannot recommend it.What started as a five-star experience has turned into a recipe for disappointment!
