Ok so i’ve tried a lot of couple apps before and most of them are straight up trash and we end up just stop using it after a few weeks. candle couples is the first one that actually felt fun and real, the design is literally top tier. like whoever built this app needs a raise asap. it’s so cute, easy to use, and the free version has a ton of stuff. the questions don’t feel forced or cringey, they actually got us talking again. and the canvas drawing thing is something my bf and I use almost everyday now. we’ve been leaving each other the cutest lil notes every dayif you are in a relationship and want something to actually bring you closer, this is itIt has helped my relationship SO much. Thank youuuu soo much for building this!

I enjoy using Candle, especially the home screen widgets and most of the conversation prompts. The app does a great job of helping my partner and me stay connected, and I appreciate the intention behind it.One feature I would love to see is the ability to create custom question categories. Currently, the monthly check-in allows users to create one question, but it would be great to either create an entire category of personalized questions or have a way to submit questions for consideration in future categories.I would also like more control over the types of prompts that appear. Some of the more off-the-wall questions aren’t always relevant to us, so having the option to filter or customize prompt styles would improve the experience. Overall, the number of categories feels somewhat limited. If a couple spends more than 15 minutes at a time in the app, it’s easy to run out of new content.While I enjoy the app and it helps us maintain connection, I sometimes feel that my partner and I would get more engagement from playing virtual card games together over the phone than from using the app for extended periods. Expanding the prompt library, adding more categories, and increasing customization options would make Candle a much more engaging experience for couples who use it regularly.

I really enjoy the app. My partner and I love the features including the questions and gaming. It’s a nice thing to have for the pass time but while these are wonderful, it does have its drawbacks. I love the drawing feature, it’s fun but I find that not being able to maximize the drawing nor adjust the size like in Snapchat or instagram makes it hard especially if you draw big. Also there aren’t many color options either. The finger kiss feature is cute but it’s not that forgiving when it comes to getting near perfect alignment, we get 99% a lot and it gets a little frustrating. Finally the biggest grievance I have is the fact that it needs WiFi to work. I’m not always going to be home or connected so i obviously rely on my cell data to get things done. I’d like to participate when my partner wants to do some things while I’m out but I can because I’m “offline”. If there can be a way to have cellular data be a way to stay connected that would be wonderful. The point of the app is to stay connected when in long distances so the fact that it’s already a severed connection due to lack of WiFi is already misleading. Thank you

I’m on day 24 with my partner. We love a lot of things about the app and getting to find out new things about each other. I do have an inkling that the devs possibly used AI to create these questions, though, which makes it feel a bit detached. The questions are also becoming repetitive, no matter which category we choose. I’ve also noticed that many times, the questions don’t line up with the category. Thinking we will switch apps at some point once we hit the end of the questions and they begin to repeat consistently. One minor irritating thing that I wish would change.. the streak pop up. Every time I click on a category of questions, I get the “day __ streak!” Notification requiring me to tap “I’m committed to them” button to continue. I know we are on a streak! It tells us as soon as we finish the daily questions! I don’t need a pop up every single time I open a new category if I already got the notification once.
