We understand your concern.We only request the minimum location information needed to identify the correct waste collection schedule - typically just a postcode (UK) or a partial address, such as a street name. For most users, a full address is not required. To make the setup as simple as possible, we also provide address lookup, so you don’t have to enter the details manually.This information also enables valuable features such as restoring your collection schedules, sharing schedules with nearby users, and allowing community members or councils to improve them over time - for example by adding collection inclusion or exclusion dates, updating bin configurations, or correcting schedules. It also supports future council integrations, including notifications about missed or rescheduled collections.These features simply wouldn’t be possible without a small amount of location information, and no other mobile app of this type offers this level of convenience in exchange for such minimal public data.We appreciate your feedback and will continue improving the onboarding experience while keeping the setup process as simple as possible.Kind regards,BC Team
