Lovely controls and the app UI design is adorable! I really appreciate the zero ads, it’s so rare nowadays. I swear one day we’re gonna have to watch an ad to unlock our phones. If I wasn’t broke because of these gas prices and inflation, I’d definitely get premium to support!

Have to pay to use basic features

I used to really enjoy this app because of the clean interface and features like highlighting. I actually preferred it over a lot of other sudoku apps (including NYT)! But they launched an update that put previously free features behind a paywall, so… instant delete for me.EDIT: I actually redownloaded to find the specific feature that I was talking about, and I believe it’s one of the Pro-only toggles in the Assistance tab. I will, however, change my star rating because this is a well-made app despite the paywall changes and I don’t feel very good leaving a bad review for anything.

Which feature? This is simply not true. But feel free to delete. In the mean time we will continue to make the app better, for everyone. Also those who want to use it for free.

Overall, this is a great Sudoku app — especially for being free and ad-free. The interface is clean, the puzzles are challenging but fair, and it runs smoothly. I really appreciate that you can enjoy the game without constant ads.However, the payment setup is disappointing. You have to either subscribe or make a one-time purchase just to restart a puzzle you failed, which doesn’t feel right. Paying for hints or special features makes sense, but paying just to try again takes away from the fun.If they adjusted it so you don’t have to pay to restart a failed puzzle, this would easily be a 5-star app.

We fixed this in the latest app version! It now allows everyone to play failed (or successful) past puzzles again, only on puzzles you've played before or are still playing. Disappointed by the Limitations

I chose this Sudoku game because of its small size and the fact that it’s ad-free, which I really appreciated. But after installing it, I was very disappointed to find out that you can only play one puzzle per day unless you pay for a subscription. This makes the game almost useless for anyone who actually wants to enjoy Sudoku more than once a day. I understand supporting developers, but locking basic gameplay behind a paywall is too much. I’d honestly prefer a few ads over such a strict limitation. Switching to another Sudoku app that values the player’s time more.
