Great app and only getting better

App is amazing. It took me personally a try or two before I understood how the AI worked. But it is pretty easy and it creates the renders very fast. Word of advice if you’re having issues with it getting your car right is upload more, and or different photos of your car from different angles and lighting. It really makes a difference. I first started with the 10 required, and it was doing alright some mishaps as you’d expect an AI to do. But once I uploaded the 20 especially including photos in the areas of error. It really picked up slack. The team is also very helpful and kind when it comes to issues, I reached out to them discussing a matter I had and they helped explain what I could do differently to correct the AI and I tried it. Instantly worked. It just takes an extra minute or two to know what you’re working with. Don’t give up after your first or second photo/video, give them a chance. Definitely one of the higher quality apps I’ve used by far. They also have a pretty large selection when it comes to options for backgrounds, and I hear there’s only more to come!

Great app and only getting better

You CANNOT see your car with this app unless you fork over a minimum of 10$. And that’s for 1 WEEK of access. Thought I’d at least give it a shot, thinking there would be a non subscription trial option where the images would be heavily watermarked and with only a small number of images generated unless you paid for a subscription. The “try before you buy” model that’s pretty standard with subscription services. But this app is “buy just to try” which honestly leaves a pretty bad taste in my mouth, especially considering the price which is unreasonably high compared to other ai services that reputably offer solid results for a smaller cost. And of the developers can’t operate with a lower price point then they’re doing something wrong and if they’re doing something wrong then the product probably isn’t good. Because if it was good then they’d try to get as many people to see just how good it is. But instead they’re trying to get as many 10$ subscriptions as possible because most people will unsubscribe after seeing how bad it actually is and eat the loss and only a few will go through apples refund process. And they’re banking on this. So don’t bother this app is literally just a quick cash grab

Well, I appreciate the time you took to write a review, but let me address your concerns:- First of all, we offer free image generation with our large collection of trained models. That way, you can check the results without spending anything. If you like what you see, you can always upgrade. If not, there was no commitment from your side. Win-win situation in my eyes.- We do not offer a free trial with your own car because our operating costs are high. As of today, tech is in a state that it's still expensive, specially for our case that we TRAIN a custom AI model just for your car. That requires computational spend and time. We could simply offer a ChatGPT canned response for free, but that's not the point of Driftshot. We offer realistic shots of your car.- And yes, $10 is for one week. Not because it's meant to charge people on a weekly basis, but to offer people a low barrier entry point to try the app out, which is the bare minimum to cover costs. If the app suits your needs, you can easily switch to a more cost-effective option like the monthly subscription.- Assuming that because we can't operate on a lower cost basis it means that we're doing something wrong is, to say the least, an unfair statement. The problem might be that you're used to apps offering low-quality results. That's not our case and you're free to try any of the other many apps that offer the same ChatGPT response. Behind Driftshot there is a team that has spent an incredible amount of hours and passion into something valuable for the car community, as you can see on our social pages. I understand that Driftshot might not be for everyone, but please, remember that every time you post a review on an app, there is a team behind that reads it. We read and act on every single review we receive and take all constructive feedback seriously. Cool concept, but disappointing results

One star review, so I have to list the negative first… you go through a whole process of uploading multiple photos of “your car” into the app so it can save “your car” into “your profile” Problem is that after all of that… the car that they place into the photos is not actually your car. It’s some copyright proof rendering of your car where all badges and model numbers are fake / jumbled / ai generated… so “your car” is actually just some ridiculous ai generated proof of your year, make, model. I was pretty disappointed cause I have a classic car that I don’t feel comfortable putting in the rain, snow, or sand… so I really liked the idea of getting images in different terrains. After every single rendering of this app, I will then need to go into Photoshop and edit / fix the false representations of the car / badging / decals.Many photos of “my car” didn’t even have the same tail lights / rear end. The app just created some random rendering that is not even a real model of car to protect itself against copyright infringement :/ Not worth the money :(Now for the good:The backgrounds and lighting look legit. The “car” even though it probably won’t be yours… looks good in the scene. That’s about it :(So, if you have extensive photo editing capabilities and don’t mind fixing their work.. maybe it will be worth your time. Otherwise, if you are actually looking to get photos of “your car” in different scenes….. this is not the app for you :(
