This is a super well polished little indie gem! The character designs are very appealing! The babies themselves are cute and the parents match them very well. Sometimes I even find myself going by instinct off of which baby matches the parents because they just look like they all belong to eachother. This is a fairly short game but it's just a teaser of things to come, and there is an endless mode you can play if just the campaign leaves you wanting more. Well done developers! Keep up the good work! 🎉

First, I’m always happy to play a game that has no data collected, so yay for that. As for the game itself, for the first few levels, this game is mostly chance. You have to match the babies by their physical characteristics, but there are a lot of things that aren’t precise, so it’s easy to make mistakes. Once the blood types are known, the supporting physical characteristics help- though height and weight throughout seem very random. And there’s no way to actually read through all the info on all parents and babies and make informed decisions in the short amount of time you’re allotted. Also, there are “secret missions” to disrupt the office and place babies to specific parents that they don’t belong to. If you do this successfully, you don’t get anything other than a penalty if you mismatching them to their child. Finally, you are given “penalties” or “rewards” based on how well you do (I had some bad rounds and got a pay cut, apparently, and another round I did well and got a bigger place to live?), but these have absolutely no impact on the gameplay. Finally, all the text is VERY small and super-hard to read- I actually had to take and blow up screenshots to read the details! This version has about a half-hour worth of gameplay. At this point, it’s one to skip.

I love the concept of this game and how simple the play is. Papers, please is a fantastic game and this is definitely cut from the same cloth. That said, I really wish they would add some simple accessibility features. I’m visually impaired and somewhat color blind, so anytime the clue is the pajama color with the heart- I basically have no clue, because the line is so fine and the PJ colors look so similar to me that it’s complete guesswork. Adding some sort feature where they add words or allow you to adjust the colors, or even just fill in the entire heart would be a dream. I really want to play this game fully!

I loved playing this game; it’s pretty short right now and the story/world building isn’t very fleshed out right now, but I could easily see this project growing into a really awesome game. It shares a lot of structural similarities with Papers Please, but I think it stands on its own pretty well and is distinct enough to not just be a copy of it or anything. I’m excited for the full game to come out on steam
