I wanted to like this. I appreciate that it is only $0.99 and doesn’t collect any information. However, it doesn’t account for the non-printing margins around a page of paper and does not provide crop and alignment marks. The end result is not usable, I’m sorry to say.

Thank you for highlighting these problems. Printer-margin presets and crop/alignment marks were added in version 1.3. Version 1.4 improves those features: marks now stay inside the printable area, outside the image, and adjoining image sections are positioned consistently across sheets. Choose margins that suit your printer and enable the marks you need. For assembly, print at 100% scale on one side of each sheet. This is an update of my original review. Not only is their tech support right on but they also have updated the software based on my concerns. It can now print both an enlarged to fit image but also (and this is what I wanted) print sections that are the size specified by the original. In my test it was a 12x12 inch image that I printed on 4 letter sized pages that I could piece together to make a 12x12.

First of all you can’t just type in a custom image size. You have to click these little arrows which can take a long time for a much larger image than the default size. This was maddening. Then when I went to print, the pdf that got saved centered each pages part of the image instead of lining up the image along the edges of the paper. This meant cutting each page down to join the pieces and create the larger image. I tried to ask for my money back but the support button took me to site that’s written in Finnish - a language I don’t speak.

Version 1.4 lets you type custom dimensions directly and fixes the placement of image sections across sheets so adjoining parts line up correctly. Printer margins are included in the layout, and crop marks show where to trim. Some trimming is still necessary on printers that cannot print to the edge of the paper. Version 1.4 improves poster printing and assembly. • Type custom dimensions directly, using a decimal point or comma. • Preserve original image resolution and PDF vector detail. • Join sheets with consistent placement and adjustable overlap. • Keep crop and alignment marks inside the printable area, outside the image. • Choose automatic, portrait or landscape paper orientation. • Preview the actual sheets and print at 100%. • Open support in English.
