HOW TO USE NOVLI: 1. Snap a photo of a chinese text you want to read. 2. Tap on words to instantly translate them and see pinyn. 3. Explore the other features: add to Anki style flashcards in a single tap, ask AI questions about the text, listen to your text. Novli works for images of textbooks, novels, social media posts, uploaded lecture notes, or any other Chinese text input you need. We built Novli because when we were learning to read Chinese, it would always take ages to look up words, find their pinyin, and add to our Anki flashcards. Best Translating App!

Best Chinese Translation App
I have been studying to read Mandarin for the past 6 years and have been using Google and Baidu to translate. While both apps are good, before Novli I always wanted to just tap on a character and learn its root to better understand what I am reading and saying. Novli does this and has great pronunciation capabilities. Highly recommend to anyone learning. The only recommendation I have for the developers is to have a function where a character/pinyin can be typed with same capabilities as when scanning. Other than that I’m hooked, I use it everyday. Thank you Novli!

Best Chinese Translation App

Downloaded this, and after 3 days I promptly deleted all my other Chinese apps. I’ve tried The Chairman’s Bao, Clozemaster, and LingQ, but Readly is by far the most effective for reading. It’s easy to use, doesn’t require a vpn, and has a scan function that picks up traditional characters as well as calligraphy. Highly recommend for anybody who reads a lot or wants to read more in Chinese.

If you are learning to read Chinese, you NEED this app. It is absolutely great for learning new vocabulary and reading when you can’t understand a book. It explains the vocabulary, and you can also use flashcards. Great app!
