The centering is way off because even a white border card on a black background cannot recognize the card edges. It gives you an opportunity to regrade the centering but you can’t zoom in at all so that is useless. I ran cards from the same vintage set, one with very high gloss still and one very scuffed. Both scored the same for surface. Ai it’s the way to go but it’s still got a long way to go.

Hey Don!Thanks for the feedback I’ll work on adding Zoom to the re-grade centering feature! That’s a great idea tbh. Also please send a pic of those cards to me at globaldominancellc@proton.me or support@binder-ai.com and it’ll help me figure out how to improve the model.Thank you for supporting the app and I’ll work hard to make this a better experience for you,Anthony UPDATE: Hey Don, manually re-grading will have a zoom feature when version 1.5.3 is released this week! Thank you again for the suggestion and feedback.
Looks promising but needs work

1. Need to give people a free trial or free option to test at least. I already cancelled and requested a refund.2. The card I had it evaluate gave it a 9 but based on notes and the evaluation it shared including centering it should be a 10 so the grade did not make sense. The centering was in the parameters of a 10.3. Upon looking at the centering again it didn’t capture the card it was capturing something else. The technology for this app needs to look at card centering and digital grading AI. They have levers and much better at capturing the card centering.4. Price wise I will say $30 a year is not bad at all so kudos for that. $5 a month is good too.5. The app was simple to use and is promising but I’m afraid I can’t full trust its evaluation with the centering portion. Luckily i already evaluated the tested card. So I knew what to expect. Additionally, the app should break down the grades for each category it has to help a user understand. (Sub grades) 6. I will be open in returning to them once they get these items fixed but I really need a program that will help streamline my grading process.
Developer Response
Hey tastysmackdaddy! Thanks for the feedback! This is great stuff!1) I’ll work towards adding a free trial/option in a future update. It has been added to my to-do board. Goal is to have it out before v1.3.02) Sorry to hear about this, if possible please share the grading report to the company email here: globaldominancellc@proton.me and I will use it to help improve the models and figure out what happened. Were you using the detailed model or fast model? 3) I’m going to look into those and see how we can improve. I think segment masking is definitely an area work needs to be done on my end to make it better so the AI properly recognizes what is card (or borders of the card) vs background.4) Heck yeah! Glad to hear that! I tried to price the app to be as accessible as possible.5) I love the idea of adding sub grades! I think that’s a really good idea and I’ll start working on that ASAP! Will be another feature I will try to add before or on v1.3.0!6) I can’t wait to earn your business back and very much appreciate this feedback! It’s super valuable and I’m grateful to you for taking the time to write it and help the app improve! Thank you,Anthony
Very Nice
PeepRyder
I love the app it works good but sometimes it gets grades wrong I mean you need perfect lighting it can’t be off at all. One little thing for the devs, make it so we can share our binders and I promise this app will pop huge! If that is done it’s 5 stars easy but as of now 4 stars still good but it can be better or even revolutionary to us collectors. Please don’t think because this 4/5 it’s not worth it because it is and the $5 is worth it for sure especially for newer collectors. Keep going guys your app is well made and I don’t usually pay for apps but paying for this is worth it.
Developer Response

I'll update this response once the feature goes live!Thank you for supporting the app,AnthonyUPDATE: I’ve added Binder Sharing to the app! Let me know what you think and any suggestions on how I can improve it or the app! The email is globaldominancellc@proton.me thanks for your support!
NEED to take good pics!

The app is very easy and intuitive to use, however, in order to get the correct grades, you HAVE to take a good picture with minimal background disturbances. Just like any picture based app, in order to get good results you have to provide good data. Overall, love having a way to store my cards in one place on the go.
Major Updates to Binder AI: Card Grading Tool & Card Centering Tool for PSA Card Scanner Grading:
Binder AI has a whole new look, built to feel like a real collection on a real shelf.
Your bookshelf
• Your binders sit on a wooden bookshelf. Tap one to open it and flip through nine-pocket pages, or switch to Scroll.
• Decorate any binder with stickers, including the original Binder AI art. Drag, pinch and twist them into place, then rename the binder and pick its colour.
• Choose your shelf style and arrange your binders in the order you like.
Tidy up faster
• Select a page or a whole binder of cards, then move or delete them in one go. Changed your mind? Tap Undo.
Every card tells its story
• Tap a card to flip it over.
• Card pages show market value, recent sales against asking prices, and the price trend.
• "Is it worth grading?" compares the raw price with graded prices so you can see whether a slab pays off.
• Grade estimates are now calibrated against real graded results.
• Collection value is more accurate. Cards count at their raw price unless you've marked them as graded.
• Sorting by grade uses your Binder AI grade, and card numbers sort in order, so 3 comes before 10.
Slab Showcase
• Put your best graded cards in your Showcase. Tilt your phone to catch the light, and tap a slab to see it up close and flip it over.
Share your collection
• Share a slab, your Showcase or a binder page as a picture or a short video.
Scan smarter
• Grading scans run faster, and auto-crop lines up with the card's edges more precisely.
• Scans recover on their own from a dropped connection instead of failing.
• Detailed grading is now the default. Switch to Fast any time you want a quicker read.
Make it yours
• Pick from 15 appearances, from Classic paper and leather to Liquid Chrome.
• Show prices in your own currency.
• Turn sounds and haptics on or off.
• Your choices follow you to binder-ai.com.
Widgets
• Home Screen widgets have a fresh look, including a slab widget.
• Make a widget for your stream or website from Settings.
Plus clearer sign-in messages, smoother paging through big collections, and lots of fixes.
New here or just updated? A short tour shows you around. You can take it again any time from Settings.
