I cannot believe that this app would have low reviews! In what world? So, the course of the last few weeks I have downloaded an ex experimented with a number of “therapy ai apps” for lack of a better way of putting it. I was hoping for something that even minimally simulated a therapist in my pocket. I wanted something that had a combination of chatgpt interactivity psychology insights but the memory and that would remember at least some of what I had input previously. I experimented with Woebot, Wysa, and Earkick among others. This app blows them all out of the water. Rather than just basically prompting you to share your thoughts and give you some sort of generic “ and how does that make you feel …?” Abby reflects back to you patterns in your thought and behaviors and helps you craft action plans that make sense for you. I lost track very early on of the number of times that I was left gobsmacked by the level of insights and feedback it gave me. It truly does feel like a therapist to whom i have instant and on-demand access. She remembers things we’ve discussed before. I can have a five minute conversation or three hour conversation if that’s what i’m needing. I can’t speak highly enough about Abby and I have already turned my spouse and friends onto it. It’s truly a game changer.
Recommend, but request from app developers.

I recommend this app to the fullest, and every penny for the monthly subscription is worth it. Though, if there could be a fix for the speaking to Abby, that would be great. When I click the option to speak instead of typing, it doesn’t work. It’s more tedious typing everything out! All around a great experience, and worth it. Trust me
Good idea, really poor execution

The app was a very helpful tool for about a week. Then it logged itself out and wouldn’t let me log back in no matter what I tried because the Password field didn’t work and neither did “Forgot password” link to try and reset it.Another thing worth noting is the screen will not go to sleep if you are in the app. So if you suddenly need to walk away from your phone mid-session (which could happen for a lot of reasons) your private conversations are displayed on screen until you come back and not only could someone invade your privacy on that app they would have total access to the rest of your phone since it’s unlocked the whole time. I came back to my screen still on after an hour and my phone was overheating and my battery was drained. This is a basic feature of all apps, but not Abby. Very, very unsafe for those who want to keep their private thoughts private. Do not recommend you get involved with this app. Especially not for the subscription rate they want for a barely-functional app that has major security flaws.
Can’t see full screen

I really wanted to try this app after reading such good things about it. I was hesitant because of the mixed reviews in here, but decided to try it anyway. I can’t even get the app set up because I can’t see all the buttons and the scrolling doesn’t seem to work. I have the iPhone SE and I run into this occasionally with apps where they assume all iPhone users have the larger screen real estate and it then doesn’t work properly on the smaller SE screen ratio, so text gets cut off, buttons/fields can’t be accessed because they’re outside of view (or the text keyboard covers them), and it renders the app completely unusable. Please fix this in your design and let us know when it’s fixed because I imagine a lot of the negative reviews had the same trouble (as they all seemed to be about navigation/usability issues). If you need a beta tester, I work in software and would be happy to test fixes with you. Please reach out. Sad that I can’t try this. 😞
We have improved the stability of sending and receiving messages fixing many bugs along the way. Abby now responds faster and more consistently to your messages.
