The HereItIs 2.0 application takes the GPS data of buses/trams/trolleybuses exposed through various Open Data APIs from regional transport and displays this data in real time and in motion on a map. This data can be displayed with the frequency with which it comes from regional transport (currently this is approximately 15 sec).
You can filter by one or more route numbers, also by a destination station and the application will show you which routes you can select to go to that station, you can define favorite routes (and they will be kept and reused). Once the filtering is done, the application will take care of moving the vehicles along with their real-time position.
Currently active cities with real data are Bucharest, Iasi, Oradea, Chisinau, Cluj, Timisoara, Botosani, Focsani. Other cities may be added along the way.
The application requires the following access rights:
- Internet connection to receive live data about public transport
- Local storage to save some minimal information such as: favorite city name and favorite routes.
- access to the user's location to be able to focus the map and show relevant vehicles
i am convinced the people who left 1 star review dont know how to use this application. I use it multiple times a day to locate the buses for the past 4 years ! I started on the OG HereItIs and now enjoy the 2.0 version. It has always been reliable, accurate and timely ! Thank you to the creators of this app because not even Google Maps or Moovit it offer such accurate services.
