BuyBye is the budgeting app that shows you the real cost of your spending, not just in dollars, but in hours of your life.
What makes BuyBye different
Most budgeting apps track your money.
BuyBye helps you decide how to use it.
How it works:
Set your monthly budget and actually stick to it. BuyBye tracks what you've made, what you've spent, and what's left, so you always know exactly where you stand.
Budget with clarity: See your income, spending, and what's left to spend at a glance. Set budgets for categories like going out, coffee, and subscriptions, and watch your progress in real time.
Save for what really matters: Create savings goals for travel, an emergency fund, or anything else. Track your progress and hit your targets faster.
Stick to no-buy days: Track no-buy days on your calendar and build the habit of spending with intention. See upcoming bills so you're never caught off guard.
The Worth It? Analyzer: Before you buy, type in the price and see how long you'd have to work at your job to afford it, plus what that money could grow into if you invested it instead.
Pause before you splurge: Hit pause with the Cooldown and give yourself time to decide. Turn on Shop Block to temporarily block shopping apps using Apple's built-in controls, creating space between the urge to buy and the decision to spend.
See how much you've saved, how many hours of life you've won back, and what that freedom could mean for your future.
Also, try the 100 Envelope Savings Challenge to turn small, random amounts into a meaningful stash over time!

I love the concept, but when I saw the charge for the app I used the app to see if I should pay it….not worth it. So I cancelled and deleted the app. You can VERY easily use an AI model and a properly written prompt to do this for free. Just fyi.

We just made the Worth It analyzer completely free to use. Thanks for the kind words.
Website doesn’t work either
Not A Fan.
We all know the app is blocked by the $30/year subscription, which is silly coming from an app that should help you save money. Turns out the developer(s) couldn’t care less to understand the frustration behind the subscription, so they copy and paste a response to send you to their website. To no one’s surprise the website doesn’t work either. I put in my hourly rate, birthday, and how much I want to save. Every time I press submit, it tells me to fill in “purchase price” even with “$650” entered into the text box.Since this app is useless, here’s how to calculate yourself.Hourly x hours per pay period = gross (not net) paycheck.Salary calculators for taxes are FREE online if you search for it. Your end number is how much you receive per paycheck and if you’re smarter that the developers, you can easily calculate how many paychecks it’ll take because “days of work” doesn’t matter if you get paid biweekly.

The Worth It analyzer is now free to use, no subscription required.

Ny🤷🏽♀️
The immediate “gives us feedback” when i havent even used the app yet was sketchy. And then it asked me a yes or no question which then gave me the same resolution regardless of which answer i pick. Then you have to pay after doing all that just to get help. Granted its only $30 annual, but the point of the app is to help “SAVE” money. So why add on an extra $30 apple bill!?

The Worth it analyzer is now completely free, we just updated the app 🙂
The idea is there…

For what it does - showing you the real “price” of buying something by calculating work hours to make that much money and potential investment overturn - it does it great. But this is just two math equations, and there is no world that makes that worth $30 a year.

The Worth It analyzer is now completely free, no subscription required. 🙂
