Pick the edition you own, and switch editions without losing your progress, rating or notes. Books in a series show the series and their place in it, with a page listing every book in order. If a book's series is missing or wrong, tap Missing series info? or Not this series? to fix it, or name a new series yourself. Choose a book's cover from every source. Share any book from its page, including books not on your shelf. Mute a nook, book club or challenge from its menu. Busy nooks now send at most one notification every 12 hours. Replies to you and posts that mention you still come right away. New York Times bestsellers open at once. The Currently Reading widget opens the timer on the book you tap. Fixed: after signing in, your bookshelves load instead of showing "No bookshelves", and no empty bookshelf is added.

Widgets for your Home Screen and Lock Screen. Put your bookshelf on your Home Screen, drawn just as it looks in the app, in a medium, large or full-page size. Other widgets show the book you're reading with a Read button, today's reading against your goal, your yearly goal and the reading timer. A daily reading reminder, on at 6 PM by default. Change the time or turn it off in Profile under Reading reminder. It skips days you've already read. Start reading from Control Center, the Lock Screen or the Action button, and long-press the app icon for quick actions. Stats opens on the current month with a cleaner reading calendar. Fixes for sync, search and the review editor.

New releases. A nook everyone is in, with what is out this week, the month by your genres, new books from authors on your shelf, what readers here are picking up, and what is coming. Tap a cover to add it, or share it in a post. Nooks, book clubs and challenges open on one page: the photo, the details, and the posts with replies right there. New posts first. Stats, redrawn: a reading calendar with the cover of what you read each day, and tap any number to see the books behind it. A list of every book you finished, newest first, from Stats or from the yearly challenge. Share your profile with one link. Edit a session by page or by percent, and the book moves to the page you stopped on. Reading Wrapped is five pages now, with nothing said twice. Reading circles are called nooks.

Spoilers, one part at a time. Mark just the spoiler part of a review or comment and the rest reads in the clear. Readers tap the hidden part to show it. Reviews in the feed. Written reviews now show in the feed, and the feed puts posts and reviews first, newest first. Profile banner. Add a photo across the top of your profile page. Autumn decorations. Six new shelf decorations: leaves, pumpkin, cauldron, a reading ghost, a gargoyle and a stained glass window. Decorations now move up and down when you drag them. Posts and discussions open faster the second time.

Getting started is simpler. Pick at least one genre, then tap Want to read under a book or rate it with the stars. Show more brings up more books. Your books go onto To be read, Done, Reading and DNF bookshelves, four to a row. On the feed, a reader who adds many books in one day shows as one card. Show all lists the first few, and the rest are on their profile, 20 at a time as you scroll. Your whole library now downloads on a new phone or after a reinstall. Before, very large libraries could miss a few books. Member lists, followers, reviews, notifications and a reader's activity keep loading as you scroll. A book's rating now counts every review. The Terms of Use are now one line under the sign-in buttons.

Reading - Set your progress by page or by percent. The bar shows where this session started and where you are now, and you can change either at any time. - Add a missing page count from the Reading tab. - Tap a recent session to see its time, pages, pace and how far you got. Edit or delete it, or open your full history. - Start reading on a book page now starts the timer. Bookshelf - The app opens on the bookshelf you were last on. - Slide along the page dots to move between bookshelves. Books - Share a finished book with your rating, your thoughts and a link friends can use to add it. - Square covers, like audiobook editions, now show in full on the book page. Profile and stats - Recommendations show more books by the authors you read, with covers. - Top genres in Wrapped and stats are cleaner, and Romantasy now counts as its own genre. - Share your streak with an image of your recent books and an invite to join. Fixes - Reading sessions from your other devices now always show up. - The feed shows new posts first, then everything else newest first. - Challenge links open the right tab, and the yearly challenge card fits smaller phones.

A new app icon and launch screen: four hand-drawn book spines. The bookshelf now opens with Book Nook at the top and your library name below it. Before, the library name could show twice until you scrolled. The official genre circles now have a host, who can add a photo to each circle.

Import your library from Goodreads, StoryGraph or Fable. Before anything is added you can review every book, pick which ones come in and where they go, fix titles, ratings and dates, and bring your written reviews with them. Changed your mind? You can undo an import for 7 days. Find friends from your contacts. See who already reads on Book Nook, follow them in one tap, and invite the rest by text. When a friend joins from your invite, you follow each other. Who should read this next? After you finish a book, send it to friends with one tap. They get a note from you and can add it straight to their shelf. The feed now shows posts from public book clubs, reading circles and challenges, with a Join button, plus books that are trending this week and readers to follow. Posts you have already seen move down, so there is something new each time you open it. Shared links show a proper preview with the book cover, nook photo or profile, and open straight into the app. New to Book Nook? A short start helps you add your first three books and find friends. Show off your Bookshelves on your profile - Choose which of your bookshelves show on your profile, from the Bookshelf menu. Each one appears in its own theme, including a custom theme. - Open a shelf to see it in full, and tap any book to open its page. - Share a shelf as an image, to your Instagram Story, or as a feed post that links back to it. Reading Wrapped - Wrapped opens on last month, and you can also see the current month so far. The year recap is available from December through January. - A new wrap-up page shows the covers you read with your star ratings, over a photo of your choice. - One Share button holds every option: Instagram Story, this page, Save all, Share all, and a TikTok slideshow of every page. Search - Search finds more books, including new and upcoming releases, and fills in missing covers, authors, page counts and descriptions. - You can search by part of a title, by title and author, or by the author's name alone. - Covers and details fill in on the results list as they arrive. - Book pages and recent searches you have opened before now show at once. Community - Finished challenges fold under one row, and a wrap-up card appears when a challenge ends. - Completed challenges show as trophies on profiles. - Find readers lists readers with a profile photo first. Feed - Like and comment buttons are larger and easier to tap. - In comments, Report and Delete sit at the right edge, away from Reply. Other changes - A new app icon. - A book you delete from your shelf now leaves the challenges it was in.

Stats - The streak tile has its own share button. - Monthly charts label as many days as fit, so the numbers no longer overlap. Reading Wrapped - Wrapped opens on the intro story. - Top author is the author you finished the most books by. If no author has more than one, it is the author of your highest rated book. - Long book titles and author names show in full. - Every story is the same size, with room above the footer. Reading timer - The Live Activity shows hours, minutes and seconds in full in the Dynamic Island, including sessions over 10 hours. Books and covers - Choose photo works again on a book's page. - A cover photo you add to a book that is not on your shelf is shared with other readers right away. Feed - On a post's page, tapping comment opens the keyboard, and the like and comment buttons are larger. Bookshelf - In a custom theme, the board edge option shades the front of each board: square or rounded.
