You've learned this language before. Twice, maybe three times. Somehow, barely any of it stuck.
Maybe that's not on you.
Most apps are built to win today's session — faster, more fun, more addictive. Orendy is built for something else. Not today's session. What's left of it ten years from now.
We believe a learning system isn't measured by how many cards you review today, but by how much you still remember years later.
Every card comes back at the exact moment you're about to forget it. Not too soon, not too late. Nothing to configure, nothing to babysit. Orendy handles it, card after card, day after day, turning what you know into memory that actually sticks.
And because life never follows a perfect schedule, Orendy never punishes you for living it. A three-week break, two months away from the app, easing back in after a rough season — it's all accounted for. Vacation Mode pauses your reviews with zero penalty. Coming back spreads the backlog naturally at your own pace, instead of rebuilding the wall of cards that discourages so many learners. Even a simple typo won't be held against what you actually know.
Orendy is built for people learning over years, not just for one exam. The doctor keeping up medical English between shifts. The lawyer building business German ten minutes a day. The hobbyist five years into Japanese with no plans to stop.
Orendy might not teach you faster.
It'll help you remember longer.

Orendy 1.3.0 — Speak, visualize, take notes
A new review mode joins the family: Voice. Say your answer out loud, and Orendy listens and corrects it. An optional reading mode changes the exercise entirely — instead of guessing the other side, you practice reading and pronouncing the card currently shown.
The dashboard gets a deep overhaul: your mastery, spaced repetition, success rate, and time spent statistics are now built from your real review history.
Notebooks grow into a true rich-text editor, with Notes-style formatting, and get their own dedicated tab: find all your notes in one place, whether attached to a folder or fully independent.
Vacation mode has been made far more reliable: paused time is now frozen exactly as it should be, no longer disturbing your review dates or your streak once you're back.
And as always, a batch of small bug fixes and interface improvements.
Happy reviewing!
