NuDefndr 2.5.8 is a security and honesty release: a new Travel Mode, a fix for what the app switcher could reveal, and full-quality Vault storage. Travel Mode: For higher-risk situations, the Vault can be set to open only with a PIN you choose — Face ID will not open it while Travel Mode is on. The vault button is hidden and the app stays quiet while it's active. App switcher privacy: The app now hides its contents from the iOS app-switcher snapshot, so an open Vault can no longer appear in that preview. Full-quality Vault: Photos now enter the Vault at their original resolution instead of a reduced copy, with EXIF and GPS metadata removed. Vault key reminders: NuDefndr tells you when your Vault key has not been backed up. Without a backup, a lost or reset phone can lock you out of your vaulted photos permanently. Sharing check: Every photo in a multi-photo send is now checked, not just the first. And if Apple's Sensitive Content Warning is switched off in iOS Settings, NuDefndr tells you it could not verify your photos instead of letting them through silently. Recently Deleted reminder: After you delete photos, NuDefndr reminds you that iOS keeps them recoverable for up to 30 days — with a shortcut to remove them permanently. Also in this release: VoiceOver support for protection status, wider translation coverage, and interface fixes across themes. Everything runs entirely on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

NuDefndr 2.5.7 strengthens protection for high-risk situations and adds a way to recover your vault if your device is ever lost. Vault Key Recovery (Pro): Export an encrypted backup of your vault key, protected by a passphrase only you know, and restore access on a new or reset device. The backup is never uploaded. Distress PIN (Pro): A separate vault PIN that permanently erases its contents the moment it is entered — for situations where you are compelled to unlock. Stronger Panic PIN: The decoy PIN is now stored with salted key derivation, so it cannot be recovered from a device backup. Existing PINs upgrade automatically. Isolated decoy audit trail: Opening the decoy vault no longer reveals the real vault's access history. Lock Screen widgets: Check your protection status from the Lock Screen and StandBy. Also in this release: a Protection widget that matches your theme, clearer confirmation after you vault, delete, or clear photos, and refinements throughout. Everything runs entirely on your device.
