Great idea, but struggles with large photo libraries.

This app has a really useful concept-scanning your photo library to help identify specific types of images so you can quickly review and remove them. For people with thousands of photos, this can save a lot of time. However, the app seems to have trouble handling larger libraries.When I tried scanning my entire library (about 76,000 photos), the scan repeatedly stopped before finishing, which forced me to restart the process each time. Because the app doesn't allow you to review any results until the scan is fully complete, it makes the feature difficult to use with a large collection. When I limited the scan to just my screenshots (around 1,000 images), the scan completed successfully and I was able to review the results without any issues. It seems like the app might benefit from scanning images in smaller batches instead of requiring one long scan. My guess is the issue may be related to downloading images from the cloud during the scan, but that's just a theory. I’m still giving 5 stars because it does work and I think this limitation can be worked out. I don't usually leave reviews, but since the app doesn't have many downloads yet, I'm hoping this feedback helps the developer improve it.

Many thanks for the 5-star rating and the detailed feedback, Tmk1994! You hit the nail on the head regarding iCloud downloads and batching. In Version 2.3.2, we added progressive saving (results batch save every 20 items so you don't lose progress) and a new iCloud timeout handler with a 'Retry' button. This should make your 76k library much easier to manage. Your scan & result progress will now persist even if the app closes or hits iOS memory limits. Please let us know how it works out for you.

I love the idea, I love the layout, and I absolutely love the UI. You did an amazing job on this dev! I do not personally have a use for this as I’ve come to find out, but some friends and family members I know with children will absolutely get use out of this app as they have been looking for something like this that’s easy to use. (Basic reading of some guides, like any complex tool, will possibly be required) Anyway, great job!

Hi, NuDefndr did complete a scan - but when Apple’s Sensitive Content Analysis is not enabled, iOS blocks results, which can make it look like “nothing happened.”Please enable it here and try again:Settings → Privacy & Security → Sensitive Content Warning.If it still doesn’t behave as expected, please contact support and I’ll investigate. The app has been extensively tested and we have not seen it miss sensitive content when the required system setting is enabled.

NuDefndr 2.5.7 strengthens protection for high-risk situations and adds a way to recover your vault if your device is ever lost. Vault Key Recovery (Pro): Export an encrypted backup of your vault key, protected by a passphrase only you know, and restore access on a new or reset device. The backup is never uploaded. Distress PIN (Pro): A separate vault PIN that permanently erases its contents the moment it is entered — for situations where you are compelled to unlock. Stronger Panic PIN: The decoy PIN is now stored with salted key derivation, so it cannot be recovered from a device backup. Existing PINs upgrade automatically. Isolated decoy audit trail: Opening the decoy vault no longer reveals the real vault's access history. Lock Screen widgets: Check your protection status from the Lock Screen and StandBy.
