Featured by Apple as App of the Day.
Milk Diary is the goal-first feeding tracker for bottle feeding, nursing and pumping. Built by a mom and guided by a lactation consultant, Milk Diary helps you set feeding goals, track what matters, and see how every session moves you closer.
Milk Diary starts by asking what you're working toward, whether that's increasing your milk supply, building a freezer stash, combo feeding, exclusive pumping, introducing formula or weaning. Then you only track the data relevant to your journey and the app shows you how it adds up toward your own goals. No ads and no emails required.
GOALS THAT FIT YOUR JOURNEY
Pick a goal and Milk Diary suggests daily targets to match with a clear explanation of why each one matters. Daily progress, streaks, and weekly insights show how far you've come and recent trends. Adjust your goals anytime as your journey changes.
TRACK WHAT MATTERS, SKIP WHAT DOESN'T
Track only what's relevant to your journey, whether that's pumping, bottles, nursing, or diapers, and customize what you see in the app.
MORE THAN NUMBERS
Ounces and minutes only tell part of the story. Note how a latch felt and if you had any pain while nursing. Record which pump you used and its settings. Track the bottle and nipple flow you used, and any latch trouble during a bottle feed. Over time you'll see what's working, with real details to share with your lactation consultant.
MILK STORAGE
Track fridge and freezer milk with automatic expiration dates so nothing goes to waste. The Freezer Timeline estimates how many days your stash will last, so you know before you run low.
FEEDING SCHEDULES
Build a feeding or pumping schedule that fits your day, or describe it in plain words and let Milk Diary create it. Choose alarms or notifications.
DIAPERS
Log a wet and dirty diaper in one entry. Need to show your pediatrician something? Snap a photo of the diaper inside Milk Diary. It's stored privately in the app, never in your camera roll.
FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
Invite partners, grandparents, and caregivers to track together, each from their own phone. No shared logins. Everyone sees the same feeds in real time via iCloud.

As a first time mom in the newborn trenches, Milk Diary has been a saving grace. It’s so easy to feel nothing is in your control with a newborn, but Milk Diary has given me the ability to see what is in my control like feeding and pumping a schedules. I love the simplicity of the app and thoughtful design. It’s easy to use and doesn’t require my already overworked and overtired brain to work too hard to figure it out. I can already see my baby’s trends, which helps me make targeted goals for pumping and nursing sessions, and the storage function is excellent as well as the ability to add multiple caregivers to the app and develop reports for my pediatrician. The developer is incredibly responsive, any issues I’ve had have been resolved by reaching out to her directly, many of them fixed within an update pushed out within 24 hours! You can tell how much she cares about the app and her users. I highly recommend this app, 10 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Finally!

At long last there is an app that easily logs it all. Knowing how much milk I have stored, how much I'm pumping, and how long baby is nursing is so useful. I'm too tired to have to keep separate records. Being able to see the eating trends is valuable and makes it easy to relay info to the pediatrician. It also solves the problem of being the one carrying all of this info by allowing multiple people access to the account. I cannot tell you how helpful that is to have my partner or another caregiver be able to drop right into the feeding schedule. Really cool that it allows tracking more than one child, too. I don't need that yet but can see how helpful that will be. And I know this may not sound important but it is very aesthetically pleasing! This app is like having a friendly support team with me. I'm so glad this exists and I highly recommend!
Amazing resource!!

Where was this with my first baby?! She had so many struggles with eating and gaining weight, and we were using spreadsheets to try to keep track. With a new baby on the way I’m so excited to have an easy way to keep track of his meals and progress! My husband is super involved and I love that we can both track on our separate phones.
New parents: get this app!

Thank you for choosing Milk Diary to support your infant feeding journey.
In this version the following new features, improvements and fixes have been made:
- Donor milk is now supported in bottle feeds. Turn on "Uses donor milk" in Bottle Settings to log donor milk alongside breastmilk and formula, pull it from your donor milk in storage and have it count toward your breastmilk goals.
- If you donate milk, you can set a donation goal and track your progress on the Storage tab. Pro members get a reminder once their freezer stash reaches the goal.
- Settings now has Logging options, where you can choose which feeding methods to track and turn diaper changes and weight entries on or off.
- Setting up Milk Diary is clearer, with a progress bar from the first screen and hints that tell you what's needed before you can continue.
- Volume goals logged in mL are now marked complete when your total reaches the goal, and past days that were missed have been restored to your streaks.
- Charts now show the correct time period as soon as you open them.
- Bottle composition percentages now always add up to 100%.
- Fixed an error when adding a caregiver or child before your family finished syncing from iCloud.
