New Features (a) Alexandria and Rosetta - Nodes now has tiers. Alexandria is the library - unlimited notes and tags, the whole font catalog, import and export, library backup and the graph's settings panel. Rosetta adds the local inteligence, tag suggestions, semantic search, descriptions and reminders, all on your own Mac. Rosetta includes Alexandria, and both are bought once - no subscription, no account, nothing that expires. They live in Settings ▸ Plan, alongside restore purchases. Without either, Nodes is still the whole editor with a demo-sized library. Everyone who used Nodes before this release keeps everything, free, forever. (b) Every Agent Pass Has a Switch - Descriptions, tags and reminders are three separate passes, and each one now has its own switch in Settings ▸ Agent. Turn a pass off and nothing new is generated by any route - its manual action and its suggested surfaces withdraw with it, while the descriptions and suggestions a note already carries stay. Reminders need a downloaded model, so with the built-in Apple model selected that row says so rather than failing quietly, and your choice is remembered for when you switch back. Improvements (c) Model Cards State What They Can Do - Every model card carries the same four rows now - descriptions, tags, image nodes, reminders - answered yes or no, with one line of state under them and a note when the model runs close to what this Mac has installed. The five squares group models by strength instead of ranking them all apart, so Alba, Avium and Rubrum share a rung, and Velutina and Robur share another. (d) Stickers Shimmer in Their Own Shape - The holographic sheen has moved into the artwork. A sticker names one colour in its own drawing and the shimmer travels through exactly that shape at any size, instead of sitting on a rounded plate behind the image. One render path draws the sticker book, your user card and anything you share, and the Early Supporter globe is the first sticker drawn for it. Bug Fixes (e) Advice That Fits Your Mac - On macOS 15 the built-in Apple model's card told you to turn it on in System Settings ▸ Apple Intelligence & Siri - a setting that Mac has no concept of. It now names the real reason: Apple Intelligence needs macOS 26. (f) Library Backup Reports Its Real State - Two start-up tasks could land in either order and leave a session with snapshots disarmed while the settings row still reported them running.

Improvements (a) Library Snapshots - Nodes now keeps recovery points of your whole library - notes, PDFs, images and the database behind them - on this Mac. One a day while the app is open, one before a replacing import or a database update, and one whenever you press for it. Restoring sets your current library aside instead of deleting it, so even a restore you didn't want can be walked back. It lives in Settings ▸ General ▸ Library Backup and can be switched off. (b) Shortcuts That Close Things - ⌘W closes the current tab, Escape cancels an import that's waiting on you, and a second ⌘F in the graph closes the search the first one opened. (c) Models by Name - The downloadable models take Latin names that carry their rank - Alba, Avium and Rubrum join Velutina, Robur and Gigantea - and the built-in one is plainly the Apple Foundation Model. Five small squares beside each name show how far up the range it sits, and when nothing is chosen the agent button becomes a way to choose. (d) Tags You Can Say No To - Suggested tags in the Node Inspector close with two verbs, add and dismiss - dismissing takes that name off the table for this note, and the agent stops offering it here. A tag with no rules yet shows a card explaining what rules are and how to write the first. (e) Reminders Read Everything - The task sweep on Home now covers every note instead of your open tabs and the twenty most recent, and it stays quick. Long lists fold behind a show-all, and a task your checklist already shows no longer arrives a second time from the agent. (f) A Warmer Welcome - The first-launch tour types markdown and renders it as it goes instead of showing finished examples, and the graph and import demos sit on the window itself. The window keeps its size now, and racing back through the slides no longer crashes it. Bug Fixes (g) Search Results Sit Still - Meaning-based results no longer jump on every keystroke, and the panel opens at its full size instead of flashing small first. (h) Titles Save on the Way Out - Renaming a note and switching away in the same breath now keeps the new title. (i) List Markers Stay Visible - Selecting a list no longer makes its bullets and numbers disappear.

New Features (a) Tabs Replace Pins - The toolbar is now a true tab strip - one tab per open item, browser style. Opening a node fills the active tab instead of stacking a new chip, and every tab stays until you close it, so pinning is retired. Start fresh with an empty tab from the New Tab row. (b) A Home for the Agent - Settings has a new Agent tab - the background agent's home. A master card shows live status at a glance, the power rules and primary language move in from General, redesigned model cards make choosing a model plainer, and a library chart shows how much of your library the agent has reviewed. Vietnamese joins the primary languages. Improvements (c) Delete Notes from the Keyboard - Press ⌘D to delete the current note - also in the File menu. (d) Faster Under the Hood - Typing and search are noticeably snappier - search now runs off the main thread, word counts and link scans take a fraction of the time, and each keystroke lands in one smooth update instead of several. (e) Your Words, Kept Safe - The editor now guards against failed reads and writes - if a save can't reach the disk, your unsaved edits are rescued and held until it can. (f) Smarter Tables and Paste - Table cells wrap long text the way the web does, and pasting is cleaner - full documents keep their structure, task checkboxes survive the trip, and nested lists indent properly. (g) Busy Days on the Timeline - Days with many created nodes now lay out cleanly on the timeline. Bug Fixes (h) Agents Read Your Latest Words - Background agents now see what you just typed - the editor hands off unsaved text before an agent reads a note. (i) Calmer Agent Starts and Stops - A brand-new note no longer summons the agent the moment it's created, and stopping a run no longer discards the reviews it already finished. (j) Flow Mode Settles Down - Flow mode no longer flickers between notes, and an empty note shows a quiet placeholder instead of a blank. (k) Search Forgets Deleted Text - Old text no longer lingers in full-text search results after its note changes or is removed. (l) Click Outside to Cancel an Import - Clicking outside the import dialog now cancels it instead of leaving it hanging. (m) Editing Helpers Apply Instantly - Toggling auto-close brackets or the list helpers now takes effect immediately - no relaunch needed.

Improvements (a) Sharper Semantic Search - Semantic search is a lot more accurate. A built-in, retrieval-trained model now understands meaning across many languages, so sharper results are there the moment you open the app - with no setup or download. (b) Cleaner Node Inspector - The Node Inspector is calmer and easier to scan. Description, Tags, and Dates sit in numbered sections you can collapse, it remembers which you left open, and a quiet footer shows when a note was last edited. (c) Fuller Search Previews - Semantic search results now show two full-width lines of each note's description, so you can tell similar matches apart at a glance.

Bug Fixes (a) Search results no longer overlap or flicker while typing.

New Features (a) Home Page - Nodes now opens to Home - a landing page that gathers your tag suggestions, reminders, a look at your library, your most-used tags, and a garden grown from your notes. (b) A Living Garden on Your Card - Your User Card now shows a living garden - your chosen tree grows with your library under a sky that follows the time of day. Unlock milestone stickers as you write and collectible trees as you link tags, from the Verdant Oak to the rare Golden Willow, all in the new Collectibles section in Settings. Improvements (c) Reworked [[Link]] Autocomplete - Type [[ to link a note without leaving the keyboard. Suggestions show each name and date with your letters highlighted and the best match on top - use ↑ and ↓ to choose, Return to insert, ⌘↵ to link and jump there, and Esc to dismiss. (e) A Warmer Welcome - On first launch, a tree flies in through an arched window under a time-of-day sky as the Nodes wordmark fades in. Press Escape or click to continue. (f) Format from the Right-Click Menu - Right-click in the markdown editor for a new Format menu - Bold, Italic, Strikethrough, Inline Code, Blockquote, Link, Headings, and lists - replacing the system Font submenu that did nothing for markdown. (g) Tags Sorted by Recency in Search - Open Search (⌘O) with no query and your tags now sort most-recently-used first, interleaved with your nodes instead of alphabetically. (h) Faster Image Opening - Images open faster - they're decoded to the size they're shown at, so large photos no longer stall the window. The same goes for your ![[image embeds]]. (i) Graph and Timeline Open When Empty - Opening the graph or timeline (⌘G) on a new library no longer snaps you back to the editor - the timeline opens as usual, and the graph shows a quiet empty state until you create your first node. Bug Fixes (j) Undo Stays With Its Note - Pressing ⌘Z after switching notes no longer edits the wrong note. Undo is now scoped to the note you're editing. (k) Clear the Search Tag Filter - The x on a Search tag chip now clears it on the first click, and the chip responds reliably to hover. Leaving Search also drops the tag scope, so your next ⌘O starts on All. (l) Accurate Find in Document - Find in Document (⌘F) now matches the text exactly as shown, so searching a note with [[note links]] highlights the right words instead of landing a few characters off. (m) Stable Model Downloads - Downloading several models at once no longer risks a rare crash from overlapping writes to the download bookkeeping.

Your notes lay out as points with yellow pentagon tags and gray lines that follow your [[links]], and edges, markers, and labels now stay crisp at any zoom. (b) Image Understanding - With a vision-capable local model like Gemma 4, Nodes can now see your images. The Node Inspector suggests tags and writes descriptions for image nodes from the picture itself, and when you generate tags or a description for a note, it folds in what any embedded ![[images]] depict. Improvements (c) Reworked Graph & Timeline Navigation - Press ⌘G to open the graph, again to cycle to the timeline, and close it from the toolbar. (j) Cleaner Workspace File Menu - The workspace File menu no longer shows greyed-out document commands that had no effect there. They still work in Light Windows. (k) Smoother File Navigation - Switching files by swipe or scroll now takes a more deliberate gesture and behaves consistently across trackpad, Magic Mouse, and wheel. (l) Nodes Help Opens the Guide - Help ▸ Nodes Help now opens the online user guide in your browser. Bug Fixes (m) Light Window Remembers Its Size - The Light Window now reopens at the size you last left it, with no flash.
